Here\u2019s a basic taste of San Francisco\u2019s local lingo:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Hella <\/strong>\u2013 \u201cA lot, very,\u201d and you\u2019ll hear this one <em>hella<\/em> often<\/li>\n<li><strong>Muni <\/strong>\u2013 San Francisco Municipal Railway, one of the city\u2019s two major public transport systems<\/li>\n<li><strong>BART <\/strong>\u2013 Bay Area Rapid Transit, the other major public transport system, serving the wider Bay Area<\/li>\n<li><strong>For The F <\/strong>\u2013 \u201cFor Free,\u201d keep an ear out for this one, there might be something in it for you<\/li>\n<li><strong>Karl <\/strong>\u2013 Karl the Fog, a staple of SF weather that is loved by some, loathed by others<\/li>\n<li><strong>The City <\/strong>\u2013San Francisco itself, not to be confused with\u2026<\/li>\n<li><strong>The Town <\/strong>\u2013 Oakland, the neighboring city across the Bay<\/li>\n<li><strong>Yadadamean <\/strong>\u2013 \u201cYou know what I mean?\u201d said really fast<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Its-electric-heaven%E2%80%A6\"><\/span><strong>It\u2019s electric heaven\u2026<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>San Francisco ranks as the <strong>second-most EV-friendly metro<\/strong> in the United States according to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.storagecafe.com\/blog\/best-us-metros-for-electric-cars\/\">study by StorageCafe<\/a>, and with <strong>over 2,500 charging stations<\/strong> spread across the city, it\u2019s not hard to see why! While biking may not sound like a good idea in a city made famous by its steep inclines, not every street is Filbert Street, and biking is gaining a lot of popularity. The City\u2019s government page claims that <a href=\"https:\/\/sf.gov\/information\/san-francisco-bicycle-strategy\">16% of San Franciscans are frequent bicyclists<\/a>, and that pedaling around on two wheels <strong>can save you up to $8,000 per year!<\/strong> That\u2019s not even including the priceless time you save by not being stuck in traffic.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the best bike routes in San Francisco include <strong>The Wiggle<\/strong> to Golden Gate Park, or the <strong>Golden Gate Bridge<\/strong> itself with its jaw dropping views. It\u2019s San Francisco after all! Go shopping in Haight, try the food around Mission and definitely go for the Alcatraz night tour!<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re not that into cityscapes then there\u2019s something special for you too.
