DO NOT RENT!! INFESTED WITH RATS! I noticed the company of rats in my unit September 14, 2024. Ive only had the unit since JULY 23, 2025. Ive been in my unit many times since Ive moved in and cannot believe there are rats infested within the property. They make it extremely hard to talk to anyone unless you call and pretend to be a new customer needing to rent space which is ridiculous! Its giving they knew they had rats! when i first moved it i noticed that where several other units jus open as if they were being aired out to scare away the rats for new customers/move ins. If Public Storage fails to fix this situation I will be disputing my move in charges + my first months rent & voiding the contact as they have broken it falling to provide safe & clean storage units as advertised. ... Insulation fell in from the ceiling due to water leak. All my items got filthy and wet. Hundreds of rats droppings are literally everywhere. Rats ate up majority of my items. Hundreds of dollars in losses. Paying over $200 per month for a complete disaster not worth anything. Now I receive another email saying storage fee are increasing significantly next month. I complained about rats and water damage yet absolutely NOBODY is getting back with me. And when you are going there, employees are M.I.A., doors locked. The worst place to store anything. Edit 08/28/2025. 2 complaints has been filed with the location and 1 complaint with manager named Jordan Patterson. Time line 7 weeks ago, 2 weeks ago and today. Absolutely nothing has been done after the first complaint, where resolution was promised. Second complaint I was promised a phone call from their maintenance unit to gain an access inside and repair all necessary; noone called and no resolution again. Third complaint today was directly to their management; I was told these exact words: "Nobody will repair anything inside the unit. We are sorry for rats destroying your belongings, but there is nothing we can do. We are aware of the problem. We will not offer any remedy. You have to either move out by the end of month or we can rent you a different unit (with the same rats problem)." At this point the Public Storage is in breach of the contract. They are not providing safe and clean unit and they are fully aware of it. ... Read more

Rat droppings was found in my unit and destroyed almost everything. My daughter just had open heart surgery and is compromised and susceptible to catching infections easily. All our clothes have rat droppings and smelled like urine. The manager contacted me and I ask for a refund and haven’t heard anything since. I filed a claimed and they stated it take within 30 days. So 30 days without a bed , tv and clothes ? Knowing you fail to keep the property rat infested free? Treat people how you want to be treated this is disgusting and unacceptable ... Read more

my things have been in storage since the end of October of last year, maybe the beginning of November, and I didn't have a problem with them,up until now,a month ago I went to get my items, and I notice rat dropping on my furniture, and other items, today I went to the dumpster, and I notice, that they had cleaned a unit out,and I went to throw somethings away in the dumpster,I notice dead gopher rats,I mean big ones. I had addressed the issue with management, one manager told me to put a claim in,which she was really nice by the way, when I first had the issue. So I called made the claim, and all they offer me for my damages is $250 with a $100 dollar deductible,so I reached out to public storage again, got a different manager, and explain to them is this all I'm getting for the rat problems on your property. Now this manager was very rude, and she told me in so many words that it's not their problems that rats got in some of the units,so I ask her what do you mean, this is a issue of you'll. Insurance sucks, and instead of them doing something to make it right, she proceed to tell me that my rent is do,which I know that, but overlooking the issue. I did take videos and pictures of the dead rats, and the droppings, and I'm pretty sure they urinated on my furniture and items as well ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that Public Storage - 3232 Lorna Road has to offer. These amenities include Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Credit Cards Accepted, Keyless Unit Access and Online Payment. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
