When you move out of one of their storage spaces and move into another unit the same day on the first they still charge you for another month. Scam since you move into another one of their units they shouldn't charge you. Plus I moved out of the AC unit paying more money because the AC unit was never working when I went to my space. Reported this many times. So don't rent from 40th Street and Chandler Blvd phx Az. The Manager was rude also he didn't care. His name is Justin. ... Read more

I have had a unit for years and the price went from 90 to a tad over 300.00. Then I was going to switch my unit and rented a U-Haul which was timed price. Was at the unit and saw the property manager and asked what time they would open at he said 2:00 pm and it was 1:50pm . I waited until 2:00 he never opened up and waited sitting on the cement for almost and hour along with another customer. Kept calling and he wouldn’t answer the phone he is awful. He knew I was there and completely did not care! He was with a girl which I called the main number she was not an employee there and filed a complaint. This spot has gone down and this worker is the pits! ???? If I had more time I would of taken my stuff elsewhere but plan to move things asap once I re rent another U-Haul and have more time because the property manager never opened at 2:00 when they are supposed to. Such a nightmare! ... Read more

The five stars is for my experience with Joanne at the front desk. She was extremely nice, professional and patient while listening to my complaints. Every time I deal with the employees at the site, they have always been great. What I have a problem with is the company Public Storage itself and their policies (for which they would get one star). I understand that they have a pretty captive audience because we need to store our stuff somewhere, however it doesn't seem right that every year they raise my monthly rate $20 to $40. I have been renting this unit for well over five years and I am currently paying twice the rent cost now than when I first moved in. It seems the longer you stay, the more you get penalized for being a loyal customer. At some point their pricing will eventually push me out. Which means they will have to cut the price to re-rent my unit, earning less money for them, and probably rent to a far less loyal customer. They say their pricing is based on market value, but I know of no successful business strategy that works toward driving their customers away. ... Read more

Easy and convenient. My first time renting a locker - the front desk manager was nice about answering all my questions and and it only took a few minutes to complete the process. The phone app makes entry/exit to the lockers a breeze and they had good locks available for a reasonable price. ... Read more

Very impressed with the cleanliness and security of this facility. I was especially impressed with the manager Kayla. She was exceptionally helpful. Kayla took extra care with my elderly mother. She assisted her from the storage unit back to the office. Kayla was very professional as well as being very kind and considerate. Glad I found this place! ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.
