So I decided to put all mine and my family's trust into lock up III's great 24 HOUR SECURITY! Only to be called almost 4 days after the day my storage unit was robbed which was 2 days after my birthday. Lol Kinda makes you wonder who was involved? Let's see I have everything to my family's name in their including my military stuff. Sad to know that you think these people living on the premises would have the descency to actually look after people's stuff, but I guess that's just a bit too much to ask for! Flying into Bakersfield yet AGAIN to see what the hell is going on. Wish me luck and remember to use locks because they make such a difference at this location. It's easy to be out of the office when it's not your family's precious property in their, don't even bat an eye. No police have notified me that their was even a call from that office. Sad can't even treat a veterans family with enough respect to at least let us see the inside so we can know what was taken. Update the owner and female manager went on live TV news and lied about installing cameras on the back corner lot. They never did and they still have storages getting broken into to this day. I believe its every month BPD said they have calls from this storage providing horrible "24/7" security. Horrible owners don't care about keeping valuables of others safe. ... Read more

We live in Austin texas. Every time someone else other than george answers im able to make the payments over the phone for our storage. BUT everytime is george I can't make a payment. Our storage is always something & we have to make a payment in person or money order. Then he'll tell us if its late more charges will be added. We're in texas. I dont understand why im able to make a payment with everybody else but when its him I can't. He won't do it. Its always an excuse. ... Read more

The attendant that helped us was very kind and had a wonderful sense of humor that brightened the end of a rather dreary day! He was patient and informative as he listened to our inquiries and trepidation about using a storage facility of this sort. He answered all of our questions with straight forward answers instead of beating around the Bush with excuses. We're still determining the number of stars however for the moment 5 works for us! Thank you for the common courtesy and warm service in light of recent events it was a positive and welcomed encounter! ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.
