*WARNING* Avoid this place at all costs. My family has 3 units here. Ownership changed and now it seems to be run by slumlords and it has become not only completely filthy, but unsafe. My parents unit was broken into today. I went to check on our other units and what I found was horrifying. Homeless people living in their units, trash everywhere including cigarette and alcohol bottle. A broken lock on the ground. All of the coded doors that are supposed to be closed and locked were ajar. A young man had 2 sherrifs there to report that their unit had also been broken into and robbed. There is nobody in the office ever. Not once when I’ve been there has someone been in the office. The office can’t be reached directly by phone, you can only speak with the main company line. Edit: per their reply here to my review I was asked to reach out to them so they could make it right. All they did was run my list here through chatGPT and gave some condescending, AI sourced apologies with no actual resolutions.
I experienced a number of negative issues in the short time I rented a parking space here that I'd like to share in hopes that it spares someone in the future from making the same mistakes.
1. There was a $29 admin fee that wasn't disclosed upfront. I wish I could charge my clients a $29 simply for choosing to do business with me, but I don't think that's very fair to my customers.
2. The entire rental process is slow, I don't think it should take the better part of an hour to rent a parking space, but it did.
3. There is no credit card reader on site, so all credit card information must be manually typed in, even after you've given your credit card information previously. This slows down transactions significantly. It's 2026, maybe time to invest in a POS system?
4. The parking spaces are overgrown with trees/shrubs. (see photo) Your vehicle is going to have leaves/berries all over it.
5. When I asked if they would waive the $29 admin fee when I terminated my parking space if I immediately transferred to a storage space, they said "no".
6. When I emailed them in writing (per their policy) to terminate my parking space, I asked for a confirmation email, which they did not send. I then had to call, and speak with their call center to confirm that they had, in fact, received my termination notice. And while they demand it in writing, they do not afford you the same consideration.
7. When I was leaving the facility, 2 cars followed my out, failing to enter their gate code. It's a very unsecure facility in that regard. Cars follow in/out of the facility without entering their gate codes.
8. There's only one person on duty, today I waited 20 minutes just for the office to open because the person on duty was showing units to perspective renters. ... Read more

I rented a 5x10 storage unit at the Long Beach location since 2018 (it changed over to SecureSpace sometime during my rental), and I closed it out last week. I’m leaving this review not to criticize the on-site staff, but to call out the corporate side of this company.
Over the years my rent went from around $133–$162 per month to $233–$255 per month, with no actual improvements or explanation to justify that kind of increase. In fact, I had ongoing rodent issues in my unit and had to coordinate key exchanges from across the country (I live in Philadelphia now) so staff could check on things. They aren't willing to hang onto keys for you in case of emergency or building issues. The people on site did what they could and were kind, but their hands are clearly tied by corporate.
When I reached out about the pricing, the only “solution” offered was for me to move all of my belongings into either a smaller or a larger unit so I could get a different rate. After 8 years as a loyal renter, being told to drag everything to a new unit just to avoid constant price hikes felt like pure corporate money-grabbing, not customer service. That’s a terrible way to treat long-term customers.
If you’re considering renting here, just be aware that the intro price is not what you’ll be paying long-term, and there seems to be very little willingness at the corporate level to work with long-standing tenants and in fact do everything in their power to make it as inconvenient for you as possible. The on-site team isn’t the problem; it’s the policies and priorities coming from the top that are putting hard working employees into a difficult position of basically being able to offer zero incentive to stay.
Additionally, the number you call now immediately goes to a call center. I managed to get their direct office number but it isn't readily available to people.
Unfortunately, I'll never recommend this company to anyone despite staying nearly 10 years. I'm happy to be out of that money grab and it was a good run at B127.

My experience with Secure Space is good.
It’s simply what it is . That kind of simplicity makes Storage rental less of a grievance. Everyone understands that as a point you’re storing stuff but now becomes worth a fortune because you’ve just ported all this money into it and I’ve been with this serious space for I don’t know . I would have to ask them 10 years anyway I just emptied my last storage unit that I had there and frankly would still be there had they had a 20 x 10 when I had moved into the 10 x 10 I can’t say much about the group that handled the complex before security space took it up, but Secure is a better company. I think I don’t know if it’s because they have longevity in larger span of units but all in all it was good experience when your space took over Storco. Anyway, I recommend this place interior. The experience was good. The staff always friendly and responsive. The cost and constant raising of prices on the units was the absolute problem they priced us out. Also I emptied one of the units Aug. 15, 2025, a month ago and had a refund coming. They said that would take 2 weeks. Right away we were tremendously helped by Liz* , she made us feel right at home! Shes very kind and answered any questions we had. Other storages if we made a mistake unaware, I've been treated like a child being yelled at. It feels so safe here to be new and alittle lost with how the system works. Liz was very patient and took her time to explain the ins and outs.
The first night we were 8 minutes late , to leave , very over whemeled and we didnt know the gate wouldnt let us out past 10pm. The number for emergency lock in picked up right away, again they were so kind !! Helped us right away . Unlike previous storage places the first time ever late we were threatened to be kicked out without deposit , and then further on given an attitude (PARAMOUNT STORAGE low cost horrible treatment there)
Im not suggesting its okay to be late ** just saying it makes us personally want to respect people on a deeper level who are kind and understanding, not cruel and indifferent.
