I have been with Public Storage on Vistapark in San Jose for 18 yrs and let me tell you these guys are great!! I've actually had 2 units. A very clean facility always and the people are so wonderful! In 18 yrs I've never ever had any issues or problems. They have always helped me when I needed something. Leah and Gabrielle are fantastic and I couldn't have had a better experience with them. I finally cleared out my unit this month and I'm actually a bit sad to say goodbye to them. This review is for Leah specifically and for the staff at this location. She is awesome, amazing, and super sweet (treats people with kindness and respect). I had a few issues/ complexities which Leah went out of her way to help me with. Despite working in a sometimes stressful job role, every time she has helped me, she is personable, professional, and seems to genuinely care about the plight of people who are getting storage units (many times forced upon them through no fault of their own). Thank you Leah and I hope you are promoted. Kind Regards, -John ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.
