Update** Changing review to 5 stars to reflect the immediate resolutions offered from Brian after posting this review. Segen, Lisa, and Wenona are all absolute professionals who exhibit genuine warmth and practice good customer service hygiene. It is unfortunate this experience happened, but it is a wonderful opportunity for mgmt to practice kindness. They have great examples of this in Lisa, Wenona, and Segen. Take notes. Thank you PS team! Original: This review is a direct reflection of the managers, Julie and Brian. Winona and Lisa are very sweet, and mistakes were made, but the lack of empathy, customer service, and understanding from Julie and Brian was unacceptable. This location closes at 6 p.m. I arrived well before that to move into my unit. It was not ready and still locked. By the time I found the staff member to correct this and let me in, there was not enough time to load my belongings. Since I only had a truck and help for that day, they moved me into a temporary unit that was easier to access. I decided to transfer to that unit the following morning with the understanding I would be able to receive the promotional package used when booking my original unit. I rented another truck the next day to move in and asked about the transfer. They tried to charge me full price. I asked them to honor the promotion, all things considered, and when they escalated it to Julie, she was incredibly rude ("Are you done talking?" "We aren't doing anything for you." were just some of the lovely comments received from Julie) and dismissive and refused any accommodations. I asked to escalate to her manager, Brian, but was told he would reach out to me. He never did. He instead instructed them to allow me 48 hours to secure yet anothermover to transfer to a unit where they would honor the promotion. Not only did I have to rent a second truck, they then had the audacity to tell me to get another mover (I am very petite and cannot move the furniture myself). I was late returning my truck rental (for which I was charged) and missed a job interview all because of dealing with the two managers who would not, or could not, see the benefit of taking care of their loyal customers. What a shame. ... Read more

I’ll begin with the one genuinely positive thing about my experience (the STAR) Wenona. She was consistently kind, patient, hardworking, and professional. Ms. Wenona — thank you. You’ll be missed. Unfortunately, everything else was deeply disappointing. My contract began in April 2025 at $149/month (plus additional fees). By June 2026, the rate had climbed to $250/month — with frequent increases that felt excessive and unpredictable. Beyond the pricing, the experience itself became frustrating. Carts were rarely available, the office was often locked or unexpectedly closed during posted hours, and safety became a growing concern due to ongoing issues around the property — to the point that the facility closes early, not leaving a window in the evening for after-work dropoffs. I rarely leave negative reviews, but after repeated frustration, misleading information regarding downsizing rates, and an overall disappointing experience, I chose to move out rather than stay. I had originally planned to remain in the building and simply transfer to a smaller unit. I moved to GREENBOX instead and immediately received a one-year rate agreement, a cleaner environment, and significantly more peace of mind — while saving roughly $175/month. I truly wanted Public Storage to work for me. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend it. ... Read more

Rented a unit online, but went to the location beforehand and Doug took the time to explain everything clearly and also showed me where my unit is located. He also took off the insurance with ease, because I had my own. When I went to put stuff in, Wenona helped me with a cart and helped me with returning their lock because I had my own. The last time I was there, both Doug and Wenona were there. They are both so nice and courteous by even holding open the door for me. They both go above and beyond.Thank you both for a wonderful experience. It’s the little things ??! ... Read more

Best facility I have worked with so far, and unfortunately, I have moved numerous times. I think it is an unspoken universal truth that moving just -- well.. sucks; for sure could have and would have rather been at brunch. All this to say that the staff have been friendly, helpful, and available! Most of all I want to say thank you to Wenona. She is usually present when I visit {often} and despite the joy that is moving, always greets me with a smile and asks how my day is going. For me it is all about the little things, and Wenona's small actions make all the difference. Thanks to all the staff for making this moving experience a little less-sucky. - Madison ... Read more

Wenona and the entire staff at the Public Storage on 2900 Fox are awesome! They’re always so helpful and accommodating. We live in a world today where people don’t readily help other people out unless they have to. That is certainly not the case with these folks. If you’re her supervisor and you’re reading this review, know that according to me, it’s OK to pay her full pay and let her take the rest of the week off! I’ve always had a great experience with these folks. ... Read more

    1. The cost of my unit is rising too quickly to be justified by current inflation, job numbers, or any another legitimate economic variable. From August 2024–October 2025, the cost of my unit has increased by 42%. 2. The advertised prices don't include insurance until you sign the lease contract, which increases the cost significantly. It should be pro-rated and included in the upfront price. 3. Whenever I visit my unit, there are usually no carts available. And when they are, they're always in extremely poor condition—almost unusable. 4. The facility hours are limited to 9:30 am–6:00 pm. The typical work day spans 9:00 am–5:00 pm, leaving very little margin to access units outside of these hours. 5. The exterior entrance doors should open automatically with a badge or fob. Same goes for the overly-narrow interior entrance door. Customers are typically making frequent trips from their vehicle to their unit while they're CARRYING items. Why are we forced to set down our burdens to manually input entrance codes twice each way? It's almost as if Public Storage is deliberately placing barriers in the way of its customers to discourage them from accessing (or emptying) their storage units. I tried to leave feedback for Public Storage directly, but—of course—their feedback form wasn't working. . . ... Read more

Extremely bad with lying. Said rent was 64 dollars in the website. Went there and got the storage. Within 2 months it shot up to 78 dollars. Then this month it shot up to 98 dollars. This place is highly not recommended unless you want to stay stuck in a never ending rent increase. Sadly the also have rats and mice that go from storage to storage. There's always drug addicts out side near the back of the building sleeping or using drugs. The elevators are nasty, always sticky and covered in dirt. The bathroom are a biohazard. If I could rate this zero stars I would. Take the above mentioned issues and add in the rent increase and it's basically really just a scam. ... Read more

This company ruined my credit and sent me to collections for payments that went through. Please save your money and go somewhere else. I’ve been a storage unit user for 7 years with different companies in Denver and this is by far the worst location and company I have worked with - their staff is unhelpful, their customer service line is unhelpful, the manager on site is not helpful. They sent me to collections and did not notify me one time (they have my email address, phone number and address on file). How I found out about this is they sent a text (four months after my move out date) saying I had a balance due, I assumed this was a mistake so I called the Fox St location and they transferred me to customer service and said they would be able to assist more. Customer service was completely useless and told me the same information and to contact the store manager for more information. I contacted the store manager who didn’t care for my situation whatsoever and told me to contact customer service again?!? I had to then contact customer service again to get the collection agency’s number. No one at public storage could tell me a date when I got sent to collections or an agency name (sketchy?). I finally got a number to collections after over an hour on the phone being sent back and forth which is Allied Interstate LLC. I showed them that I already made the payment via email and they said I was good to go. Ruined my credit FOR NOTHING WITH NO WARNING. Again they had my information on file - my cell phone number, my address and my email and there is nothing that was sent to notify me. What a joke of a company. During my time renting the unit, they were horribly unhelpful when I had to ask questions on site, clearly don’t care about their jobs, and the rules they have in place are not user friendly. This company is the absolute worst company I’ve ever worked with. Go to a small owned company I promise you it’s worth it. ... Read more

Warning: Be Careful with Storage Units Be careful, everyone. If you don’t have insurance on your storage unit, make sure you at least use the lock they provide—and even better, use a second lock if possible. Someone broke into my storage unit using a method that seemed very easy and comfortable for them. They stole a lot of my items, and unfortunately, no one helped—not even the police. The building only had two cameras: one in the lobby and one in the elevator. That means there were no cameras monitoring the actual storage areas, making it easy for someone to break in without getting caught. If someone has a storage unit on your floor, they could stay overnight in their own unit and break into others without being noticed. And you never know if the people working there are involved or just ignoring it. In the end, if you don’t have insurance, you’ll likely get nothing back. These criminals know the system, they know which units don’t have coverage, and they also know the police probably won’t do much. So please—choose a storage facility that has cameras everywhere. Don’t take risks. ... Read more

I've used this location a few times for storage needs and it's typically been seamless. They typically will increase the rent after 3-4 months which is something to be aware of. Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.

The facility at 2900 Fox Street is accessible during regular access hours, typically Mon-Fri: 9:30 a.m. - 6 p.m., Sat-Sun: 9:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. Office hours and gate access times may differ, so it’s a good idea to check the facility’s posted schedule before your visit.

To open your storage unit door, start by unlocking it, whether it uses a traditional padlock or a Bluetooth-enabled smart lock. Once unlocked, grab the bottom handle and lift or pull up the roll-up door until it’s fully open.

If you’re using the unit for the first time, make sure the lock is properly removed before opening the door to avoid damage.

Security helps protect your belongings while they’re in storage and gives you peace of mind between visits. Many self storage facilities use a combination of features such as video surveillance, gated access, on-site management, and well-lit premises to help deter unauthorized access.

At Public Storage - 2900 Fox Street, available security amenities may include Security Camera, Onsite Manager, designed to help keep your items protected.

Yes, most standard vehicles can be stored in self storage units. A 10x20 unit typically provides enough space for a car, while outdoor or designated parking areas may be available for larger vehicles.

For safety reasons, most self storage facilities restrict certain items. These commonly include:

    • Hazardous, flammable, or toxic materials
    • Perishable food
    • Live plants or animals
    • Cash, firearms, or irreplaceable valuables

Always check with the facility at 2900 Fox Street for specific restrictions and recommendations.
