UPDATE: After writing my review, I received a call from the district manager, I explained the situation and he was able to help me. I do appreciate his call and his help. From one star, I went up to three stars. I am giving one star just to write a review. I have been trying to talk to someone in the office because I moved out of the unit I had and no one is picking up the phone. I left a message in the morning and I haven't received a call back. I've had rented storages for year and once I moved out even if I just paid the rent, they have always refunded the difference. This is not the case for this Public Storage. No one explained this to me not even when I was requesting the "move out date". They have so many rules but they're just stealing your money. I DO NOT recommend this place at ALL. Depending the unit you get, if you get one in the back, it is kind of dark. I didn't have a good experience in this facility. ... Read more

The public storage (2990 SW 28th Ln) was clean, climate controlled, and I kept my things there for 7 months. The staff are INCREDIBLY helpful (shout out to Jovanny who has impeccable customer service and was easily able to contact for any questions and help)! He even helped me move out some remaining items and made my move in and out so easy! I would highly recommend this location - it's safe, accessible, and the team is amazing! ... Read more

This is one of the worst companies I have done business with - total crooks. I realized that they are selling units the same size as I had for one third of the price. I asked nicely for a price match, refused. I was told I would have to move out of my unit and into another one and the other one must be booked online as it's an online only price. Finally, I made the effort to move my entire storage to another unit - the savings was substantial. Then I am told that I won't get any of my money back for the advance rent I paid on the original unit because I would have needed to do a "transfer" in order to get a refund. The guy at the front desk knew exactly what was going on and made no effort whatsoever to help me out or inform me of this prior. I would give ZERO stars if that were an option. Go to Safeguard Storage right down the road. It couldn't possibly be worse. I'll be vacating Public Storage as soon as I am able. ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.
