Read some helpful reviews of Prime Storage (KS01) at 530 South Wildcat Lane, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

I’ve only been renting at Prime Storage for a couple of months and I’m already pretty frustrated with the experience. The overhead door is frequently broken when I come by, which makes access unreliable and inconvenient. On top of that, the elevator has been out of service multiple times, which is a major issue when you’re trying to move items in and out — especially for upper-floor units. What’s most disappointing is that after just a short time renting here, my monthly rate has already been increased. It feels unreasonable to raise prices so quickly when basic facility access and equipment haven’t been consistently working. I chose this location for convenience, but between the repeated maintenance issues and the fast rent increase, it hasn’t met expectations. ... Read more

I wish I could give 5 stars for this storage facility. The facility itself is amazing, having an area to pull into and closed off from the weather outside is amazing. The whole facility is cleaner than I could ever have imagined a storage building to be. The only exception to this was the extremely potent smell of urine in one of the elevators. My biggest complaint was the pricing. Every month's they would raise the price until it was double the amount that we had signed up for. I understand charging a higher premium than most places because it is a premium storage facility, but constantly raising it up to an unreasonable amount is a little ludacris. ... Read more

Dee was the agent I spoke with at the automated kiosk inside the Prime Storage office. The experience was very good and I had no problems with my interaction with her. Dee was very friendly, professional and prompt with information I needed. I felt very welcome and found the virtual service easily accessible and accommodating. I was greeted immediately by Dee as soon as I touched the screen. The whole process of downsizing to a smaller unit took 10 minutes to complete. Dee was great! This facility is always clean and well managed and the location is great for me. ... Read more

I had to wait a long time for help but once I received help they were wonderful. Both Zach and Phillip are professional and helpful. The virtual helper next to the desk is very loud when they are communicating. It was hard to communicate and hear with two people having a conversation so close via virtual. ... Read more

I started renting this unit back when it was Extra Space, and I was honestly very happy with the service — fair pricing, clean building, and no issues. Ever since Prime Storage took over, things have gone downhill fast. They began raising the rent little by little, and last month I even got a letter announcing another price hike. When I gave notice to move out, suddenly they offered to keep me at my current rate — why only then? On top of that, they push their insurance for $17, which is way overpriced. I had to get my own policy elsewhere just to avoid wasting more money. The condition of the property is the worst part. The automatic exit gate has been broken for over a month, so everyone has to drive around and exit through the entrance. The elevator has been out of service multiple times, and even when it’s working the carpet inside is filthy and smells terrible. Overall, the building clearly lacks proper maintenance. And here’s the most frustrating part: if you’re late on your payment by even a day, they’ll blow up your phone with calls and texts, charge a $22 late fee, and quickly slap a lock on your unit if you fall further behind. If only they applied that same urgency to cleaning, fixing the elevator, or repairing the exit gate. Honestly, if customers could charge them “late fees” for every week of delay on maintenance, they’d be paying us instead. That’s my experience — constant rent hikes, poor upkeep, and misplaced priorities. ... Read more

Renting the unit and accessing it for the first time was relatively easy. I rented a 10' x 20' but when I arrived and went to my unit, it was a 10 ft by 10 ft unit. Made a phone call, got a new unit and new access code and we're back in business in a matter of minutes. They were very friendly. Apparently, the 10 ft by 10 ft unit was not a mistake, what they failed to add was that I also got the adjacent unit, making the combined size a 10-ft x 20 ft. The new unit worked out much better because it was only a few feet from the doors. The units are fully air conditioned, it's very clean, bathrooms are available, not crowded and carts have been available each time I've been there. It's a really nice place. ... Read more

This storage facility is the nicest place to store your stuff in. From the time I walked into the business to inquire about renting a unit, Zach was so helpful and friendly and made sure I got the right size storage unit for my needs. To when I was unloading my stuff onto provided carts, to a nice size freight elevator, I felt very comfortable and safe leaving my stuff there. Even the task of unloading the truck and getting it into the unit was faster than I’ve ever experienced. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that Prime Storage (KS01) - 530 South Wildcat Lane has to offer. These amenities include Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
