I had the absolutely worse experience trying to vacate my locker. I scheduled my move out on 1/30 and I decided to move out a little earlier just in case there was any hiccups. I was contacted on 2/4 and was demanded by Alejandro that I needed to show up to the facility and return a key otherwise I would be charged a fee for the following month. I had already moved out almost a week prior and was contacted a week later, demanded to return the key for the locker. After already explaining to Alejandro that I could not do so, given the fact that I was already in route to work on the opposite side of town. After going back and forth with Alejandro letting him know that I wouldn't be able to meet his request. I proceeded to let him know I could make it the next day with the key he had requested. After showing up the next day, with key in hand, Alejandro refused to take the key from my possession and refused to let me go up to my previously rented locker just to remove the lock. I expressed my feelings of frustration because I do not understand why I was contacted almost a week later for the locker I had rented, only to be refused access to return the lock and be pressured into paying a fine I feel I should not have to pay given the circumstances. I am constantly contacted by employees as the Brighton location regarding fees but no one has reached out in regards to my issue. I have tried contacting the district manager and I successfully got through once, only to leave a voicemail. I have been contacted by Susan and another female (maybe Debra) but not one has the district manager returned my call. I'm still getting emails regarding the bill increasing in the unit. Since I have moved out of the locker, the bill has reached $258, in which I refuse to pay unless I speak to someone in Human Resources. Alejandro was so unhelpful and the district manager does nothing. Still have not heard anything from the man. ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.
