Read some helpful reviews of Public Storage, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

Outstanding service from Adam. He was professional, supportive and stayed on the phone talking me through the process of renting 2 units online using the Public Storage app. My rental will be long term and Adam discussed the benefits of prepaying to prevent possible rent increases during my rental period. I felt Adam provided first-rate customer service and his communication skills were excellent. Encouraged me to call him at any time with questions / concerns during my rental period. ... Read more

Do NOT rent from here!! I arrived on my first day right before my moving truck was coming (I called 2 days ago and bought the storage unit). I noticed multiple people standing around on the phone when I pulled up. I punched in my gate code and it said “welcome Kayla” made a beeping sound and the gate did not open. What I quickly found out was no one was able to get in the gate. After many agents and phone calls, they said the public storage location does not exist (as we are standing in front of this massive building named Public storage) and someone must have bought it. They can provide no information. All of our accounts were deleted and showed we had no accounts. There is nothing they can do to help and can’t speak to a supervisor because “we aren’t customers”. Lucky for me I didn’t have stuff inside the location yet. Everyone else on the other hand, no such luck! Terrible customer service and were not helpful in any way!!! Beware!! ... Read more

Rodent infestation. I had a unit here for 2+ years and hadn’t had a problem until the day I vent to vacate my unit. I had been there 2 weeks prior to get a few things and everything was normal but on the day I came back for the rest of my stuff it was completely full of rats/mice. The moment I opened the door to my unit there were at least 10 mice that jumped out of bags/boxes/furniture and ran out of the unit. As I attempted to clear things out, many more rodents appeared from out of my belongings. Everything I owned was covered in feces. Bottoms of boxes and bags caked with a layer of rodent poop. It was disgusting. Almost nothing was salvageable. I had to throw mostly everything away. I had no food in my unit, but an employee told me someone nearby me was recently evicted for keeping food in theirs. I had to personally empty my rat poop coated belongings into their dumpster. Over 900$ worth of furniture, clothes, and personal belongings that meant a lot to me. The insurance provided by public storage which I paid for, would only cover a maximum of $100 for rodent infestations. Pathetic. I am so upset by the loss of items that had such high sentimental value to me that a measly $100 means nothing. only rent here if you don’t mind your things covered in rat feces and do NOT waste your money on their useless insurance ... Maria was extremely helpful, engaging, friendly and professional. Lead me through the facility showing me all the nuances and particulars indifferent to why I left my current storage space making it a much easier to go with Public Storage. To feel that my belongings are secure 24/7, that the place is clean and not visited my little Mickey’s and Minnie’s, and that I’m not just another “numbered occupant” and sale are just a few of the things that made Maria’s all important responses a no-brainer to make the move to Pubic Storage much easier! Kudos to Maria!!! ... Read more

Great storage space at a reasonable cost with month to month rental. Very clean. Three stars because it was very difficult to ever get a response from anyone when we had questions about ending mom's rental. Tried online chat and tried calling and leaving a message several times and got no response. Easy to rent, not as easy to confirm cancellation! ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.
