I moved from one storage due to mice getting in my things, I figured inside it’d be better. No I had mice in my storage but I’ll will admit I did notice they got it under control, new new droppings. Good job! When I first got my unit the price I was quoted was affordable, but after a year my unit went up an extra $25, RIDICULOUS!!!! I feel like it’s part of a game because they know they have you because it’s a job to move all your items out of a full storage unit to another and you just go ahead and pay the increased price. The staff is lovely though ... Read more

Great clean units... But, there is a homeless guy living in one of the storage units. (Unit E-26). I told an employee at the front office, but he was in denial, or just didn't care. I have been to my storage unit about 12 times the past 2 weeks, and the guy has always been hanging out on his makeshift bed inside unit E-26. He always keeps the door opened about 1 foot, for airflow.. but as soon as a car passes by, he shuts the door really quick so nobody can see inside. Yesterday, I was the first one inside the access gate at 6am, and went to my unit... The homeless guys unit door was open, and I woke him up... Hahaha...oops! I always thought that you couldn't live inside the storage units, but I guess I was wrong. So, if anyone needs a cheap apartment, Extra Space Storage is the place to go... 839 E Reno, OKC ?? ... Total disappointment with these people. I tried to get in on the weekend of Friday, February 21, and today, the 23rd of the same month, the door is blocked. I need to get my things out before Monday, February 24, and I can't get in. ... Read more

The property is always clean, the lighting is good at night. During the day the motion sensor doesn't always work great. The property is pretty secure. The staff have been easy to work with when problems arise. We have been in our unit almost a year and have been extremely grateful for how they have worked with us financially to avoid losing family heirlooms of family members who have passed on as well as treasured pictures and other household items while we went through a transitional phase. ... The actual building is well kept and easy to navigate through. I appreciate the helpful and welcoming energy from those who work there as well! ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.
