Tried to move out last day of the month, couldn’t get ahold of property manager or customer service to vacate because they don’t answer their phone/aren’t on site and customer service number is automated.. Had to wait until the next day and because I had no way to figure out how to vacate the night before they TRIED to charge me for another full month. When I finally get a hold of customer service. I get a super nice gentleman who tells me that they will dispute the charge and that I don’t have anything to worry about. About 12 hours later I get a call from the property manager, Desiree, telling me that I have a balance due and I need to pay it or it’s going to collections. I tried explaining that I talked to customer service and the situation and she cut me off every time I tried to speak. I was able to remember the avenues I used to get to an actual customer service rep from the day before, and get some gentleman who is just as rude as the property manager. So I ask to speak to a supervisor to be met with the escalations dept lady who must’ve given a ted talk on how to be rude to customers because she was really icing on the cake… I don’t know why they even ask you what you need or what they can do for you if they’re just going to argue and tell you there’s nothing they can do… “do you REALLY want a $32 collections?” ARE YOU JOKING?! Don’t store your stuff here. ... Read more

Unprofessional and not worth using. Desiree the “property manager” is as disrespectful as they come. Belittling and talking over customers. Go somewhere else where the company values your business and money. These people just want to bend you over and take you for whatever they can. Why ad a charge back that customer service cleared???? Yall that desperate for $32?? Worst service I have ever had, bunch of fools power tripping. You work for a storage lot get a grip. ... Read more

The unit is fine and so is the price. The reason for 3 star is 1) the slide would not move so we could close the unit...called contact number on app and had to leave very detailed message. Never got a call back but finally jiggled the door enough to release slide. 2) the gate access is supposed to work from a smart phone using the app. Both enter and exits gate, gave me "out of range" message even thought I stood outside ny vehicle holding my smart phone 1" from the keypad. This occurred at both my visits. ... Read more

Giving 5 stars for Desiree who went above and beyond with helping me today. Same on Public Storage for raising the rate for my unit $23 dollars more. Online prices are much better but once you get that first year in the come back and get you I guess. My same unit is $59 right now online that I am now paying $92 for, Wahhhhhh ... Read more

We just recently moved from out of state and I'd like to say that Kimmi is a wonderful and beautiful soul. She helped us with every single need we had, including aide for my son. Every time we needed to figure something out, she was always there helping us brainstorm ideas for our storage. It's always a pleasure to speak with her, she is very kind and friendly, she made us feel welcome since the very beginning. Thank you Kimmi for all that you do, you are amazing. ... Read more

Kimmy makes a fantastic worker! She always provides excellent customer service. I never felt like a burden because of her. She would call me back within an hour after I left a voicemail. I didn't remain as long as I did because of the company; instead, I stayed because of the excellent customer service. Even so, the reason I ultimately made the decision to move out was the ongoing increase in prices. I wanted the storage; I didn't need it. Overall I have no complaints! ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that Public Storage - 1530 SW 119th Street has to offer. These amenities include Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Truck Rentals, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Keyless Unit Access and Online Payment. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
