Read some helpful reviews of Public Storage at 685 SE Division Place, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

I’m 60 years old and disabled and when I called to rent, they told me I would be able to put a code in pull into the Garage and then use one of their cards and unload my stuff and put a code into the elevator and go onto the storage unit which I paid extra for for convenience and Take the lock off they charge me 20 bucks for and roll up the garage door. Put my stuff in there lock it up go back to the elevator and put the code in then go to the pole by the garage door put in a code. The garage door goes up and I drive out and I thought that sounds easy enough. What actually happened was I get to the Public Storage and there’s some homeless people camped out in our parking lot and then there’s two guys that are parked beside the garage door and it looks like their stuff kind of in front of the garage so I pull up in front of the garage and I go out and I start to put the code in they sent me and the garage door won’t go up and there’s no one parked in the garage. then there are two guys going in and out of the door and their stuff won’t even fit out the door and they’re getting stuck and I’m having to wait and so when there stuff started rolling towards my car, I decided to leave and there’s no phone number on the door because their door is smashed into our office and it’s all boarded up so I don’t feel safe there. It’s not what they told me when I called back Customer Service to get some help to get transferred to another facility. They told me they couldn’t transfer me to another facility but they wanted to go ahead and charge my card another $150 and they would be happy to return my other $150 and the next seven days and I said you don’t need to do that but you need to do is refund me immediately or switch me to another facility so I can go unload my car So what they sold me is not what they provided. I feel it’s very fraudulent to sell somebody something when you’re not providing it after they get your money. At the very minimum they should’ve transferred me so when I called customer service, they said there was no supervisor I could talk to and they could really barely speak English anyway. So I decided to call back just to see if I can find somebody who wouldn’t get lost in translation. You may still wouldn’t help me. All they want was more money.. Buyer beware when you deal with Public Storage I have stuff I need out of the space that I’m in and I have my car filled and now they took my money. They won’t give it back. They won’t give me a different space. I can’t get my stuff out of my car and get the job done that I need to do in a timely fashion. I’m on a time crunch but no, they just want more of my money and I’m on a budget so they should do the right thing. This is terrible Customer Service. This is terrible over promising and under delivering. I looked online when I was boring to check it out and it looks nice but when you get there, the garage door has a big den in it. It doesn’t go up or down there just repair inside and even there door to enter. Their office is boarded up and they have homeless living in their parking lot or at least hanging out there so it’s just not really the same image that they’re trying to portray online. I don’t normally leave any kind of reviews, but this just really upset me because I needed to get this stuff in storage immediately and now they prevented that so I jammed up my life personally. I wouldn’t have even given them one star. There is a survey after the phone call and I gave them the lowest ranking. I hope this helps you make the best decision for yourself and where to go. ... DO NOT rent from this company. I work all up and down the west coast and every single time I try to rent from a Public Storage I have to deal with homeless folk BS. Whether the sliding doors are broken, the office door is smashed in, homeless folks loitering around the property, homeless living inside and breaking into other people’s units, or in the case of this particular location an actual fire got started inside of the building. The employees treat everyone like potential suspects. Nope, nope, and nope I’m done renting from this company. ... Read more

Absolutely terrible experience at this Public Storage location on Division Street. The area feels unsafe, and there was zero customer service. On move-in day, the garage door was broken—no warning, no call, and no help. To make matters worse, my rate nearly doubled from what I originally signed up for, without any notice or explanation. Completely unprofessional and frustrating from start to finish. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that Public Storage - 685 SE Division Place has to offer. These amenities include Climate-Controlled, Indoor, 24 hour access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The storage units offered by Public Storage - 685 SE Division Place can satisfy all of your storage needs. Different sizes here range from 25 to 200 square feet. You can go for smaller units if you don't have a lot of items to store, while choosing a larger space is recommended in case you need to store a lot of furniture, bigger items or even vehicles.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

Storage units offered by Public Storage - 685 SE Division Place come at a variety of prices, starting from $47 per month for typically smaller units. However, larger spaces can set you back up to $219 a month.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
