After years of staying with this storage business, their hefty annual price increases, and their lack of urgency to fix the a\c to be an appropriate “temperature/climate controlled” facility (which they just said is 82 degrees but feels like over 90), WE’RE DONE. We pay top dollar for the convenience of storing in a comfortable environment in hopes that we work through our stuff when we have the opportunity but instead have to take extension cords and fans if we need to be in there more than thirty minutes working before sweat rolls down our foreheads. It has gone through several name/owner changes, each time having worse customer support and pricing than before. They say their prices increase every year to reflect property taxes, but they put the brunt of that on the customers, even the ones that have been there since they opened. They just don’t care. On top of that, they’re “free 4 hour 1st time truck use” is always reserved when you need to use it, yet the truck remains parked in place when it is supposedly being used. Today, I called them to report we were at the unit on the third floor of their Cypress, Texas location and it was extremely warm from the moment we stepped off the elevator. I was told they would send someone from the office to check it out, but after 20 minutes, I had to go down to the office personally to check if the message was received. The employee had not received my message because he said he had been on a call and would now read the message while I stood in from of him. After reading that the problem was with the a/c, he told me he would contact his manager AFTER he returned several calls in the answering machine. I asked him if he was seriously prioritizing those call backs before helping us, he said yes. I went back to work in my unit and waited another 20 minutes. I called to ask what the manager had responded and I was told that it would be Tuesday before anything could get checked, it’s Saturday today. I’m out of there today. I’ll store my holiday items somewhere else after this month. I’m pretty sure I can find a 10x10 for less than 225/mo. I’m very disappointed. ... Read more

The most unresponsive and careless staff. I have asked for them to replace the lightbulb in my unit 6 times. They have lied all 6 times telling me "it will be don't this week". I have talked to every person that works there and they are all the same. They simply don't care about customers. Dear owner: clearly the reading comprehension was missed. Buda and Norman wasn't the issue. Your person on the phone at this Cypress location was. In fact clearly training is needed for everyone at this cypress location! The review below was not for Buda obviously since i did it inter the Cypress location! I wish i could give this location a large ZERO --------------- I have been to the Buda Texas location and the one up in Norman Oklahoma and I have never had someone be so unacceptably rude the person that answered the phone today in Cypress. Please be mindful that this particular location does not follow the company rule in regards to insurance. If I have my own rental coverage I do not have to have the company insurance. There are other locations in and around Cypress that I would recommend before going here. I haven't even rented from this location and just based off of the two things that happened today I would never ever not only rent here but recommended this particular location. I am a strong advocate for Morningstar storage usually but the gentleman that answer the phone he strongly needs some training. Because for him to tell me that it's corporate policy when it's in fact not corporate policy that leaves a bad taste when someone lies to you right off the bat.
