Metro Dallas-Fort Worth is one of the country’s most dynamic urban areas, attracting plenty of newcomers annually. According to the latest US Census Bureau data, the metro area gained more than 131,000 new residents from 2017 to 2018, with its population now reaching 7.53 million.

There’s drive-up access to some of the units, all of which are indoor and climate-controlled. Parking is free for customers, while extra services include truck rentals and retail space.

5. Public Storage, 625 Stella Street, Fort Worth – 105,800 sq. ft.

Public Storage, a company that is extremely active in Texas, opened several new facilities around Dallas last year. This particular one provides multiple unit sizes, including 5X5, 10X10 and 10X20, but also larger ones, such as 10X30 and 12X20. The units are indoor and climate-controlled.

Free parking is available for customers inside the gated facility, while security cameras keep the perimeter safe. Other services include an onsite manager and there are also retail opportunities available inside the facility.

6. Public Storage, 10555 North Freeway Service Road East, Fort Worth – 104,000 sq. ft.

This property is located in a busy area with a traffic count of almost 12,000 cars per day. Sprawling over three stories, the storage facility provides both climate-controlled and standard units of variable sizes, including the popular 5X5, 5X10, 10X10 and 10X20 ones.

8. Advantage Storage, 1040 West Sublet Road, Arlington – 95,825 sq. ft.

10. Public Storage, 1611 Chestnut Street, Dallas – 87,000 sq. ft.

The final self-storage option included in this list is another Public Storage facility, six stories high and providing a selection of the most popular unit sizes, from 4X5 to 10X20. The units are indoors and climate-controlled, while the security cameras provide an added layer of safety.
