I just rented my storage space this week so I will definitely be adding an update once I have been in there for a couple of months. Michael W was fantastic when I met with him yesterday. I ordered it online but wanted to change the dates of my move-in and he was accommodating he took me to my storage unit showed me inside as well as how to use the lock and answered any questions. He was very warm and friendly so I hope for good things to continue. Thanks, Michael! ... Read more

Beware. This is a scam. They get you in the door with a low rate and then 3 month later, they double the rate, and then later, they triple it. They have doubled my price, yet are advertising other units that have the exact specifications as my old pricing. I can continue to get that lower price if I move all of my stuff to another unit with the exact same specifications. Unfortunately, I cannot get there right now because my husband has cancer surgery in a week and a half and I am in Northern California. So, Instead, I have to pay double the price. The local manager cannot approve a lower price and corporate will not do it. Do not go here unless you are prepared to pay triple the price, because that is exactly what they will do to you. They get you in the door for a low price and the double it and then triple it, etc. Please see the other reviews complaining about the same thing along with theft and rats. Here is what they quote: "Public Storage runs on a month-to-month basis, so prices may be subject to change any time per section 2.2 of the lease agreement that you signed. It is subject to periodic rate increases with no exact time frame or amount cap listed." Save your time and money and go somewhere else. I will be moving all of my stuff out of there as soon as I can. ... Read more

Michael is WONDERFUL! I had never visited before but had to coordinate a car pickup for stored vehicle. I was having trouble figuring out how to access the facility and had lots of questions. Michael answered them all with friendliness and genuinely wanted to help me. He even walked to the unit with me and made sure I could get it open. If I find myself needing storage, I will be using this facility! Thank you again, Michael! ... Read more

In today's world and business dealings it seems no one has empathy or caring any more. I want to share the goodness I have found right there at Public Storage in 70th Street & Thomas. Michael Kelley is a true example of goodness and kindness. I am a widow and every month my payment is not able to be paid in time because the date cannot be changed. This month the first time in 4 years I got really behind because I had to have and pay for a medical procedure. I was so afraid. The things I have in storage are the last of my memories of my life with my husband of 30 years whom I found dead 4 days before his 61st birthday in 2017. I was terrified of losing those things. Seems every year the price for my storage goes up and makes it harder and harder to keep my things. This time I prayed and prayed that God would make a way and of course he did. He sent Michael Kelley as a public storage Angel to step in to say kind things and keep me with courage and strength. I little by little got caught up because of the help I received from Michael Kelley and his kindness to give me strength. I am thankful for everything that was done to help me. I wish there was a way that Public Storage would show loyalty to it's customers by helping because of the length of time as a customer. I started out at $69.00 a month now my bill is way over $200.00 and I have struggled for 4 years however maybe down to the last days but made it. It's Christmas and Michael Kelley helped me to be able to smile again and be happy this season. I am in the medical field and always live to give service to others I have no family here but I am proud to say thank you for a new friend that cared enough to help and to be with me every step of the way. There was another young man Michael W. That helped me also. They should both be honored for their service. Michael Kelley Thank you so much for your kindness for representing Public Storage as a caring establishment. Because of your kindness and loyalty to the customers I believe in people again. You did not have to but you reached out and gave me hope. To whom it may concern, you never know what your customers have in their storage some might be just like me. That 5X10 storage holds memories of my husband Christmas long gone by but still held dear to my spirit and soul. Do what Michael did listen, find out about your customers and try and do all you can to help. You hold the power to care about others and their memories. For some it might be all they have but they have trusted your establishment with the things they hold dear. To some just things to others Memories of someone or something you love and care for still. Thank you Micheal Kelley God bless you. Thank you Michael W. For your kindness also. You both are appreciated to the highest. Merry Christmas Diana Quintana Wagner ... Read more

I only gave two stars because the homeless guy who lived there helped me move in. With this being said there are people living in there storage units at the Scottsdale location. So if you want your stuff smelling like cigarette smoke, which was so strong I got a headache, then this is the place for you! The “manage’ was MIA when we needed him to get access into the unit. I had to leave two messages before I got a call back. This lost me money, because my movers had to leave there was no where to move my stuff too. It was a terrible experience. I was left with a truck full of furniture. I finally got a call back and by the time I found more help, the tenants had come “home”. Again, Do not store your stuff here unless you want your stuff smelling like cigarettes”. I have no time to move my stuff again before I have to leave town for work. So at this point I’m stuck with this gross smelling place. ... Read more

Great storage place, easy to manage reservations and rentals online. I interacted with Judy in the front office and she was super helpful and personable. She helped me to transfer to a larger unit when I realized the one I reserved was too small. Great customer service and great value. ... Read more

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.
