These units are the cleanest in town... I've been a PS customer for 15+ years The Store Managers are always very helpful. They go above and beyond to resolve any issues that come up, and I've had a few over the years...Lol ;) ;) Liz, at Tyler Street has Superior customer service skills... She's way above in her field. I am so grateful for her extra efforts on my behalf, last week...my issue was resolved. Alondra, is WONDERFUL, as well... She's the location Mgr - overseeing her Team in the best of ways. They return calls, they quickly escalate problems to get resolution in a timely manner, etc. I cannot say enough good things about these Employees at Public Storage on Tyler Street in Carlsbad... rent increased by over 100$ after 2 months. Then over 100$ again a matter of months later. It’s dirty, there were ants in all of my boxes and bins (of clean household items). And other bugs and pests. the lighting is horrible. I’ve been blocked in multiple times by the volume of vehicles. There’s never carts available. It’s just really bad all around. not worth any temporary promo. If you have another option, don’t rent here . Just the business practices of public storage alone seems criminal ... Read more

Horrible experience. Facilities are constantly broken. Can’t access the gate with my code even thought my rent has been paid. Corporate has zero empathy. Elevators break down all the time. Dolly’s disappear. Moths destroyed a piece of art that was in the unit for less than a month. The property manager deserves a raise and she works very hard. Corporate is another story, they need to be held accountable for their problems ... Read more

If you use this storage facility work with Andra. Be polite and respectful to her, and she will treat you in the same manner. She will go out of her way to get you what you need. I recently decided to downsize my unit and she was very helpful in making sure I had as little extra cost in the transaction as possible. She also took the extra time to find a new unit as close to the elevator as possible. Thank you Andra, you helped make our stressful day a little more pleasant! As to the facility, the remote/app based entry and exit has always worked smoothly. The building has always been clean, and there's always been a cart to check out to speed up moving in or out in the office. I know my things will be safe here for the coming months! ... Read more

One of the worst customer experiences I've ever experienced, both with the on-site staff and phone service. Bait and switch pricing. Broken elevators for a three story storage unit. No access to carts (as advertised) and some units being used as housing creating an uncomfortable and unsafe environment. Wildly disappointing. Will not use Public Storage again at any location. ... Thank goodness Chris L was on a shift at the Tyler Street location yesterday when unexpected occurred. Already stressing out over being late to pick up my daughter and having a grip stuff I needed to unload and put in my locker, who would’ve guessed that my luck would have led to me having my stuff inside the elevator when it decided to become inoperable. As I was panicking slightly inside, I went to go see about help and I walked in on the tail end of a call that this gentleman was wrapping up. it was the most reasonable, kind, genuine and calm demeanor on a call which was with an obviously very disgruntled customer. That’s the fist “bravo” to his customer service skills that concluded not only in a peaceful goodbye but a solution to the issue with no sweat to whatever they had going on. Now #2 : I told him that the elevator was not working, and my belongings were now stuck inside of it, and the haste and urgency in which this man jumped to my aide was very much appreciated. feeling my stress and keeping me calm just by being himself with his superlative Skills as a manager he did everything to see to my issue And no wonder they chose him as the traveling sub in because he is a chameleon and is obviously very capable to handle all types of situations and people with all urgency levels if there’s ever a problem to arise. Thank you, Chris for being the one that was at the store to help me finding a solution to the problem that I had; you are awesome! ?? ... Read more
