Read some helpful reviews of Prime Storage (CA15) at 325 Trousdale Drive, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

I hate this place. The rats messed some of my stuff up. They said that they were going to reimburse me and they never did. They didn’t allow me to throw away my stuff that the rats damaged in their dumpster. I would never ever recommend this place to my family or friends. And they love raising the rent really fast. But yet they’re not willing to help you out. Only at the end. This nice employee that his name was Ivan. ... Read more

I’ve had an outstanding experience with this storage unit company. The staff has been incredibly helpful and flexible, especially when it came to working with me on my lease and understanding the demands of military life. They truly go above and beyond to support service members, and their professionalism and willingness to accommodate made the entire process stress free. Because of how military friendly and reliable they are, I’ve confidently referred multiple military personnel to prime storage. I genuinely appreciate their support and highly recommend this company to anyone looking for trustworthy storage facility. ... Read more

Communication was great and access in and out was very good. Friendly staff and very knowledgeable about which lock is best for us. I was there a couple of months and it was a great experience for my wife and I. ... Read more

Had a great experience working with Ivan under difficult circumstances. A family member who had rented a pair of units passed away suddenly and it became my responsibility to take stewardship of them. Ivan helped me get the payment details squared away, then assisted in my efforts to clear the units and terminate the rental agreement at the appropriate date. Without his understanding of the difficult situation I was in and his willingness to assist in every way possible, it wouldn't have gone so smoothly. Thanks Ivan!! ... Read more

I have found staff to be very friendly and helpful. There are times when they were so observant, they could prevent problems before they happened. They give helpful suggestions as appropriate, but are not offended if you don't take their suggestion. ... Read more

I just want to say separate and apart from the immaculate cleanliness and the convenience of location the staff at this storage location overly exceed GREAT!! I want to thank Francis for ALWAYS helping me when I called to inquire about my unit. And most of all I want to say a special thank you to Ivan. Ivan thank you for understanding my situation and having compassion and giving me the time I needed to move my things out of my unit in a safe and timely manner. I was going through a difficult time in my divorce and I was completely stressed out about my stuff in the storage. I spoke to Ivan on numerous occasions and he never failed to go beyond expectations of what customer service is all about. Businesses need more people like Ivan and Francis working for them! Thank you for everything guys! I highly recommend this location to meet all your storage needs! ... Read more

Storage facility was fine a 5×10. The unit had no light. They raised my rental to $180. Which in my opinion was way to much. But the staff were always nice and helpful. Over all it was okay for the amount of stuff I had. Just wish 5×10 was cheaper like $130 or something in that range. But everything in San Diego going up in cost. ... Read more

I have been a tenant here for about 3 years, A recent change in ownership that also included a change of staffing at the front desk has brought on lots of changes. I am super happy with the new staff they are professional and punctual, prior to the change the front desk was never staffed, people were living in units, there were break-ins, overall disarray. Since all the changes and the new staffing everything is coming together, signs are being posted, gate is working, the place is super clean & always staffed. Keep up the great work. ... Read more

If I could give zero star, I would! I love to give positive reviews, but unfortunately, this business has left us so distraught and disappointed. This Storage Unit was formerly known as Stor'em Storage, new company took over April 2023 now Prime (aka Crime) Storage. The front desk personale Eileen seemed like such a sweet and genuine lady. She toured us around the facility in 2022, and at the time, it seemed like a well-kept facility. Today, now you see random homeless ppl loitering around sitting in their cars for more than 6hrs smoking weed. Trash is left in the hallways. Debris in front of garage doors that look to be shavings of wood and metal (which is quite odd - see photos). Hallway lights burnt out and left dark. The storage units itself are not climate controlled, with no lights on the inside (so if you have a 10x15 or deeper... good luck seeing anything inside) Bring a flood light or lantern! The hours for entry, even on holidays, no issue. Access 6am to 10pm. The gates enter by phone number, but I've seen many cars tailgate in (or follow me in) ... so it's pretty useless fr keeping non costumers or public out. May 29th 2023 Labor day I had to file a police report because our Storage Unit had been broken into. Police Department Case Report Number: CV2307237 Came in the next day and Eileen and Serena wrote down a paper incident report, stated that surveillance footage can only be viewed by law enforcement. Eileen stated she does walking rounds down the halls and didnt notice or hear anything... (the thing is... the theif had replaced the tampered lock and put it back on the door and relocked it...only noticed the damaged key hole that was tampered with after). Anyway...Walking rounds are useless! The Police Officer working on our case came by and they told her that she required a warrant and they couldn't show her anything without one. The Police Officer obtained a search warrant, approved by the judge ... only to be told that footage is only retained for 30 days. By this time, it had been longer than 30 days ..... I, nor the officer, were ever told about the 30 days. We only learned this when the Police Officer called Primes Corporate IT to see if they could help and they told us of the 30 days. So please be informed if this happens to any of you. Staff and management have not been helpful with this case; they aren't willing to help customers or the Police. (Even the Police Officers thought this was strange that Management wouldn't help Law Enforcement). A bit sketchy... and something isn't feeling right... They mainly focus on advertising about "storing your stuff here... and how we can make it easy for you to store your stuff here...blah blah blah." But not much about how their facility can keep your valuables SAFE. Storing your personal items here is as good as leaving it out on the streets. You pay rent for them to treat your belongings like a yard sale or a "free for all." Storage Insurance will only cover 2100.00 for personal insurance for off premise locations. Prime Storage will then charge you an extra $40 to use their insurance...after the fact which is ridiculous...after they've already stolen 90% of your property. So now I'm left with paying more monthly for a half empty storage unit (10x15). No mercy. I don't recommend this company... it has been bad dishonest business. Find a storage that cares about you as a costumer and genuinely want to help you keep your belongings stored and safe. If you want to protect your valuables... and work with professionalism- DO NOT RENT FROM HERE. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that Prime Storage (CA15) - 325 Trousdale Drive has to offer. These amenities include 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Enclosed, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage, Online Payment and RV Storage. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The storage units offered by Prime Storage (CA15) - 325 Trousdale Drive can satisfy all of your storage needs. Different sizes here range from 25 to 600 square feet. You can go for smaller units if you don't have a lot of items to store, while choosing a larger space is recommended in case you need to store a lot of furniture, bigger items or even vehicles.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

Storage units offered by Prime Storage (CA15) - 325 Trousdale Drive come at a variety of prices, starting from $120 per month for typically smaller units. However, larger spaces can set you back up to $1,297 a month.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
