I'm not fond of their day and evening shift workers. They lack customer service. Been with this storage unit for a few years now. And the way they speak to customers has yet to change. The workers need a different profession since they talk to customers like snobs. And judging from the other reviews I'm not wrong. In summary, while the storage units themselves may be fine, the rude behavior of the employees made my experience unpleasant. ... Read more

While at the storage today, it was close to closing time. I lost track of time and then suddenly one of the employees was upon me and my fiancée. He says “it’s 10 minutes after closing and has a scowl on his face” and I say “ok” and he proceeds to say “no, it’s not okay, you need to get out of here as the police are wondering what’s going on over here!” Of course he was a boomer and not up to speed on today’s standards. With the ability to choose any facility to be at, I’m not sure why he behave in such a manner. I was angry at his approach. He could have been kind and instead he chose to be unkind. He seems like an unhappy employee and needs to be coached in his interaction with people. If I could give zero stars, I would. ... Read more

While the storage facility is nice and kept secure, the daytime and evening staff here are rude just to be rude. It’s been a couple years now that I have been paying on time and have never had a problem, but at closing the evening staff was so bold as to threaten to call the police since it was closing time and I was now “trespassing”. If that’s how they choose to deal with customers that they’ve had for years with no payment issues then I’ll be happy to take my money to someone who knows about basic human kindness. Very lacking at this facility. ... Read more

We currently have a storage unit here. I don’t know why the reviews say it’s well maintained when pest control is pretty much non existent. See my photos attached. Being in property management and I having a father that did pest control, I know when pest control maintains a property and it’s not being maintained. When my husband called the office to complain Mary said “it’s Fresno there’s spiders and roaches.” Customer service is horrible. Maintenance guys are great super helpful! I will be looking at another place to store my items. In the meantime, I will have my dad spray our unit to ensure there are no creepy crawlers and rodents. Stay away from this place. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that Derrel-s Mini Storage - 955 North Willow Avenue has to offer. These amenities include Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted and Online Payment. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The storage units offered by Derrel-s Mini Storage - 955 North Willow Avenue can satisfy all of your storage needs. Different sizes here range from 50 to 800 square feet. You can go for smaller units if you don't have a lot of items to store, while choosing a larger space is recommended in case you need to store a lot of furniture, bigger items or even vehicles.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

Storage units offered by Derrel-s Mini Storage - 955 North Willow Avenue come at a variety of prices, starting from $83 per month for typically smaller units. However, larger spaces can set you back up to $624 a month.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
