Read some helpful reviews of Public Storage at 1230 Olive Drive, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

Wonderful sevice from Camilla. It's my first time renting a storage unit and she showed me everything I needed. Told me how to get through the gate, took me to see the unit in person, and answered all my questions thoroughly. Very pleasant experience and I look forward to renting here more in the future. ... I had a wonderful experience with Camilla at the Davis Public Storage on Olive St. It's hard to find storage in Davis during the incoming school year, but I managed to get a huge unit! When the time came to downsize, I moved over to the West Sacramento location. The transition was quick and easy. I love the options on the Public Storage App. Sit in the car and hit the button, and the gate opens. The facility is clean, and I had no issues. You've got a customer for life ( or at least as long as I need storage) Julie Cohen ... Read more

I came into the office to see if there’s any available units, couldn’t rent at the time but had a good experience in the office, Camilla was helpful with giving me information, will definitely be renting from them as soon as she lets me know there’s a rental available. ... Read more

Nora was fabulous. She answered all of my questions and was able to accomodate what we were looking for despite having limited options available. Her customer service is outstanding, she is the reason we will be returning to Public Storage in the future. ... Read more

Beware: predatory pricing! Tried to raise rent 30% after 5 months! Initially seemed like a good deal but I see now how they undercut competition to get you to move in, then raise the rent quickly and in absurd amounts! I called and they did delay the rent increase for 3 more months. But still, the system feels very cold, corporate and unethical. Take your business elsewhere if you can! ... Read more

I wish there was a zero. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. My daughter had a storage unit here. She was trying to catch up on a payment so she could access her stuff. She had the payment in hand, but when she came to pay it, nobody was there. She even talked to the security camera to see if she could get a response. Btw, during this whole experience, she was on a deadline trying to move from California back to Alabama, so timing was crucial. She came back again and was only a few days going into the next month, and had only left shelves in the unit. My daughter asked the employee there about being charged for the next month, and the employee said they would “work something out”. Later, we get a letter saying she owed for the full month and it had gone into collections- no warning or notice!! We had to pay the charges plus added fees. I tried to call Public Storage and they were the most insensitive, inflexible humans I have ever dealt with and I’m old! They just kept quoting the contract. My daughter has mental health issues and this just about sent her over the edge. Don’t deal with these people if you expect one atom of kindness or understanding- because you won’t find it!! ... James is a great property manager at this location and in West Sacramento. He went above and beyond at helping me in my specific situation, where I was told mixed things by customer service. His communication is 10/10, and he really looks out for the best interest of the customer. Thank you again, James ?? ... Read more

Clean facility. Polite and professional customer service. Was very transparent with prices, security and sanitation protocol questions. I will be using this facility for a good amount of time and had many concerns alleviated after a long conversation with James. I will definitely be recommending this location to others. This is a much nicer, cleaner and quieter storage place than ones I have had to rent in the past. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that Public Storage - 1230 Olive Drive has to offer. These amenities include Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Credit Cards Accepted, Elevators and First Floor Access. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The storage units offered by Public Storage - 1230 Olive Drive can satisfy all of your storage needs. Different sizes here range from 25 to 200 square feet. You can go for smaller units if you don't have a lot of items to store, while choosing a larger space is recommended in case you need to store a lot of furniture, bigger items or even vehicles.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

Storage units offered by Public Storage - 1230 Olive Drive come at a variety of prices, starting from $63 per month for typically smaller units. However, larger spaces can set you back up to $323 a month.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
