I’m so glad I found this place. I had to call because I had a rent increase and I was trying to see if there was anything that could be done to lower the payment. I spoke with Rosetta. She was so kind and so helpful and she gave me a three month reprieve. Rosetta, I appreciate you so much and you don’t know how much you help me thank you so much . Great customer service! ... WORST STORAGE EXPERIENCE I’VE HAD IN MY ENTIRE LIFE!!! Rented this storage for about 4 years, all it did was disappoint and the constant rent increase forced me to vacate. They raised rent $100 just in 2024 alone. My unit was broken into twice over my last 2 years and not once did I see them upgrade security or do any upgrades quite frankly on this whole facility. My storage was emptied out completely ready to move out at 9:30 am (opening) on the 1st of the month and they charged me the whole months rent just because I used my gate code to come sweep it out that morning trying to do them a favor. This facility is a joke I wouldn’t spend a penny more with them. You would think the longer you stay with them you would receive some sort of loyalty benefits but all they’ll do is keep increasing your rent and draining your money. If I could give 0 stars I would. ... Read more

I’ve been using this storage for 3 years and found the best rates here between Vallejo and Vacaville for what I desired in a storage unit: ventilation, well kept/clean, friendly staff and overall security. Over the last 3 years my rent did go up which is always a bummer but that’s not necessarily the fault, it’s a corporate thing. Rosetta, the main property owner (I forgot her title) was able to support me with any need that I had. I appreciate my “house” being safely secured and ventilated during unpredictable weather here. Whenever it’s time to move again I know that there will be space to do so since it’s not a busy property for the most part. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that Public Storage - 1199 Western Street has to offer. These amenities include Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Credit Cards Accepted and Online Payment. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
