I had a really great experience with Public Storage. The customer service was honestly the best part. Adrian was friendly, patient, and super professional from the moment I walked in. He took the time to explain all my options, helped me pick the right unit size, and made sure I understood the pricing and policies so there were no surprises. The facility itself was clean, well-lit, and felt very secure, which gave me peace of mind leaving my belongings there. Anytime I had a question, they were quick to help and always had a positive attitude. ... Read more

I rented a unit at this location. Most of the time, the office was unstaffed — even other customers I spoke with said managers are rarely present. I had to leave a callback request to finally reach someone by phone. I wanted to cancel my account to move to another location. I understand that I did not receive a refund for the first month was my responsibility, and I paid for it. I also requested cancellation. I had chosen a promotion for a free second month, but it seems they later requested payment for that month. Since my account had already been deleted, I was unaware. Six months later, I received a collection notice. I’ve emailed corporate with supporting photos from my visit and the lock refund (which I did receive). I hope this helps. Please choose a location with staff regularly present and be cautious when making payments. ... Read more

I needed a near by 10'x10' storage unit to store some tools boxes. So, I made a quick search online and found a Public Storage Facility near me, were I rented the above described unit. The following morning I went to check it out and found, to my dismay, that the dimensions of their units are 9'-6" x 8'-10", not 10'x10' as they advertise. Of course, that didn't suit my needs, hence I chose to opt out of the contract. At first, the clerk said that I will be receiving my refund by a check payment via US Mail. However, a couple of days later I received an email thanking me for payment and for moving-out/checking-out. When I canceled my credit card payment, they didn't object. Yet, last week, I received a payment past due notice from their collection agency. Stay away from this scam. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that Public Storage - 18711 Valley Blvd has to offer. These amenities include Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Credit Cards Accepted and Online Payment. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
