I have been a customer for 5 years. I have had exceptional service from day one. Kevin has always answered my questions and there when I need something. Today I worked with Cindy and she made my transition from one unit to the next very painless and she was a doll. During my visit Cindy dealt with a hostile guest who was confused about his reservation. She was still very kind and explained everything to him. She is a Gem and shouldn’t be let go EVER!!!! ... Have rented in many storage facilities, but the facility at Cooks Bay in Lake Forest CA is my favorite. The facility is very well laid out, with good pricing and frequent promos. But what truly separates this property from other storage facilities is the people. Mike at this property is wonderful- always helpful, patient answering all my questions, and knows the property inside out. Dee Dee is always happy to assist also. You can tell the team cares about this property. It shows. Highly recommend. ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.
