Absolutely awful experience. Management says one thing and then does the complete opposite. Prices were raised with no notice, and when I questioned it, they claimed a notice was mailed—even though nothing was ever received. There was no warning, no transparency, and no accountability. Made a reservation early afternoon for pick up that evening, confirmation received via text and email, was set up with the 24/7 all check in so I could complete the pick up after the store closed all on the app. Showed up and no vehicle was assigned . Spoke to the app customer support rep who was FABULOUS and she had no clue why the store had all day to assign me a truck and never did. Had I needed to show up when they were open I would’ve picked a different location or gotten off work early. Very disappointing and a complete waste of gas. Thankfully was able to switch the reservation to a new location early tomorrow morning. But be very careful making a same day reservation here! My overall experience dealing with Fort Locks self storage in Nipomo was excellent. Not only were the storage units in great shape but the price was competitive as well with other storage facilities. Ease of accessing my unit went perfect and knowing they have so many security cameras made me feel better about my personal belongings being there. Most of my dealings with Candy Babcock, storage manager, was wonderful. She was so easy to work with and all I had to do was just communicate to her my difficult situation and she listened so well and helped in anyway she could.
