The experience here is so great, I have been here awhile and it’s always clean, the carts are always available and whenever I have questions there is someone to answer them for me, more recently the lovely Gabriella!! She’s so patient and kind and I always have a ton of questions and she takes the time to answer them and have a conversation with me rather then blow me off or give me a short one to two word answer and I really appreciate that so much. I see her all the time handling everything back and forth she really does it all which makes me appreciate her time even more! Always a positive experience with public storage in general ?????????? ... Read more

This is the best Public Storage, 11620 Sherman Way, North Hollywood. I initially chose this option because it’s climate controlled, so none of my keepsake photos would be warped from the intense valley heat, and let me tell you… I promise you DO NOT want a storage unit in the blazing valley heat that isn’t climate controlled. All my things are cool, safe, and secured here. Jessica at the front desk was amazing too! She booked my unit with ease, showed me around, made sure I knew all the important details, and always greats me with a gorgeous smiling face! Thank you Jessica! 10/10 I would recommend! ... We are in the process of vacating our unit at this public storage. We arrived around 1030 am on 8/25/24. There was multiple carts available in the lot. So we took two because we are vacating the property and we are pressed on time. On our 3rd trip down to the u-haul this couple approached us and asked for one of the carts. We explained that we are moving out and would have it for about another hour or so. This property leaves carts everywhere you just have to go to the next building and look. Well they got mad and told the worker Logan. In less then 15 minutes Logan comes up to our unit and states that it is one cart per person and took one of the cart from us. There isn’t any signs that state any cart rules besides the on that says, “Carts provided for your convenience Available during office hours The next customer appreciates”. I don’t know what the couple told him but he started to stock us. We ran out of the room in the uhaul and the cart that we were using had a load of stuff on it. We decided to locked it up in the unit because we were going to leave and make more room and come right back. Before we even left the property (we were fixing the truck) we got a miss call from public storage. Logan left a message saying that there is a problem with our unit(message was check when we arrived at home). We left and came back 30 minutes later to find our storage unit was over locked with a public storage lock. We did not have a late payment or anything. We went to talk to Logan and right off the back he gave us attitude so I gave it right back. He stated we were steeling the cart by locking in the unit and we should have told him what was going on so we could avoid the over lock. He didn’t want to unlock our unit until we explain to him what was going on. He finally got up and walked us to the unit to un lock it and as he walked away he said aggressively “I’m telling you again not to keep the cart in the unit or this will keep happing ”. Idk what’s up with this dude he obviously was targeting us and made a call to our phone when we were on the property. If he had a problem he could have just walked up to us. This isn’t my first time have a problem with Logan and it suck’s cause every other staff member there is alway helpful and kind. Posted picture of where the carts are stored. No signs in site stated what Logan claimed. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that Public Storage - 11620 Sherman Way has to offer. These amenities include Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Credit Cards Accepted, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
