My roommates and I booked a 9'x10' unit with this company June 13th and didn't even have it for a full month (Closed it July 9th). We were reassured that we would not be charged for two months, and that because we were there for only one month it would not roll over and that we were not enrolled in autopay. However, after I closed it I checked my banking information and found out I was charged for 2 months. I had to call two days in a row --even though I called the first day within operating hours-- and when I was answered on the second day Diane picked up and was told that they never sent back my $40 security deposit, and that I would not be refunded my money. It would come back as a probate for the month of July. When I asked for further clarification Diane became frustrated and explained (pretty much yelling) that she does not know how the probates really work and that she would forward my information to the company's accountant. Today I got a call from Mary, who was very helpful and kind that I would not be receiving any kind of refund at all. I got two different stories and am now being charged for two month's rent. Already, I find it horrible that I had to ask for my security deposit back and that if I never caught that I would have lost $40. On top of that, my address was written completely wrong despite me giving Diane my license and her inputting my information herself. They are unclear about their policies and tell you what you want to hear so that you work with them -- at least that is my experience. I did not enjoy my time there, will be looking elsewhere for storage in the future, and I hope you do the same. ... Read more

What a nightmare this entire experience was. The worst part is the actual owner will likely never even know how rude his Manager is or maybe he doesn't care. Here is part of what I sent them which details my experience. I would like to withdraw my contract based on the fact that the contract was broken by your Manager Diana Morena. On November 9, 2022 my family and I attempted to move in to my designated unit. Per your Rules and Regulations the contract states that Office Hours are 8am to 6pm unless otherwise posted (on door or window). Although this was a Saturday I attempted to call at least 8 times before we arrived to notify Diana that we were coming with a trailer and that we would need the gate open near our unit. Nobody answered the phone and there was no answering service. I arrived to the office at approximately 2:30pm in advance of the trailer arriving to see if anyone was at the office. Nobody answered nor was anything posted on the door/chalkboard. I walked around the place knowing there were cameras and assumed someone would eventually see me and call or come help. Once the trailer arrived we attempted to back in the trailer to off load but due to the location we were not able to do so. I noticed someone walk into the door near the office and then realized someone was there. I walked up and knocked and opened the door to see people standing there and Diana began screaming at me to get out. I nicely asked her if someone could please open the gate for us to offload she kept screaming get out we are closed. I couldn’t believe she acted the way she did considering she had visitors that witnessed the entire thing. This left us with no way to load into our unit, therefore we left. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that Mr Storage Oceano - 1530 Railroad Street has to offer. These amenities include Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Parking and RV Storage. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The storage units offered by Mr Storage Oceano - 1530 Railroad Street can satisfy all of your storage needs. Different sizes here range from 40 to 45 square feet. You can go for smaller units if you don't have a lot of items to store, while choosing a larger space is recommended in case you need to store a lot of furniture, bigger items or even vehicles.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

Storage units offered by Mr Storage Oceano - 1530 Railroad Street come at a variety of prices, starting from $82 per month for typically smaller units. However, larger spaces can set you back up to $87 a month.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
