Read some helpful reviews of Public Storage, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

Don't fall for those "first month's rent is $1" deals, thinking you'll be out in a month or two. You won't be, and they know it. They raise the rent regularly, maybe every 6 months. Every business tries to make a profit, but this is a greedy business model that feeds on your procrastination. At ~15 years, this 5×5 space was $275/month--this after several requests over the years to lower the rent. When I indicated "move out" in the app, I was offered a rent of $132/mo (!). If you must use Public Storage, threaten to move out *every* time they raise the rent. You'll save a ton of money. ... Read more

I had some unique requirements that might have prevented me from being able to use Public Storage, but Alma showed understanding, patience, and a willingness to work through extra steps to make sure my storage needs were taken care of. Much appreciated! Update: Unfortunately, they kept raising prices, presumably thinking we were locked in, but we were able to cover the moving costs with the savings at another storage company. Moving from five stars to four. Still appreciate Alma. ... Read more

I had two appointments set up to see the unit and two times no one showed up. I even got verbal confirmations. The online payment system wasn’t working also. A few days after we first rented our unit I received a voice mail our unit was broken into and I called right back but it took some several hours for someone to let me know they had the wrong unit. I probably would of went somewhere else but my boss wanted to go to that location. ... Read more
