I give 1 star because I was told I had to leave because I was taking to long cleaning my unit. The person was named bow. I'm disabled I have trouble moving so cleaning for me takes time. He said it looked like I wasn't doing anything. I have 2 units next to each 10x10 and 10x5. The stuff I wanted to keep stayed by my van (that's what he saw stuff I wanted to keep)the trash went into my 5x10 to be thrown away when I was done. But I couldn't because I was told if I didn't leave he would leave a report that I was squatting. I've had a unit here since 2012. When I had a stroke it was harder for me to move around. I have to take breaks more often then I have before. Having mice in my units tearing up my clothes, pictures, and stuff I wanted to keep safe now most of destroyed by mice ... Read more

I can’t say enough good things about this storage facility. It’s spotless, well-maintained, and feels very secure at all times. What really sets it apart, though, is the staff. They truly care about their customers. When we were going through a difficult time after a friend passed away, the manager went above and beyond to help us. Their kindness and professionalism made a huge difference. We’re so grateful for the support we received here and highly recommend this storage company to anyone looking for a clean, safe, and caring place to store their belongings. ... Read more

1 Star I had a terrible experience trying to rent a unit at SecurCare Self Storage. I first went to the location on Service Ct, but the gate and door were locked. I couldn’t even get inside to speak with anyone. No signs, no help—just locked up. So I drove to the Columbia location, hoping for better luck. Unfortunately, it was just as bad. I was told the staff couldn’t assist me because they were on a Zoom call for a “district meeting.” They flat-out said she wouldn't help any new customers until the meeting ended—maybe around 12:30. It was around 11:50 or so. Frustrated, I drove to the Main Street location and finally got the help I needed. Angel was awesome—welcoming, informative, and professional. Funny enough, he mentioned he was on the same Zoom meeting but still managed to assist me without issue. Thank you, Angel, for doing your job and treating me like a customer that matters. But to the other locations—locking out potential customers and refusing service because of a meeting? Unacceptable. ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.
