Warning!!!Do not rent here!!!!!????? – Extremely Disappointed. Serious Contract, Customer Service, and Access Issues. I am beyond frustrated with my experience at this Public Storage location. We specifically chose this facility because we agreed to pay an additional $35 per month for 24-hour access, as advertised and stated in our rental agreement. We have always paid our rent on time. Last month, we drove from Centennial to this location on three separate occasions with a vehicle full of inventory and supplies for our jewelry and collectibles business. Every time we arrived, our access code had been disabled or would not work. During normal business hours, there were no employees available to explain what was happening, let us into the building, or even acknowledge us. On those same days, at least nine other customers arrived with the exact same problem. Everyone was forced to leave without accessing their property. People lost time, fuel, money, and had to completely rearrange their day. Some customers even stated they had medication and other important belongings inside that they urgently needed. Weeks later, there was still no meaningful explanation, apology, or accountability. The situation became even worse when we were suddenly told we were somehow "delinquent," despite never previously falling behind on our payments. We were ordered to leave the property and told we no longer had access to our belongings. I was instructed to hand over my storage key so an employee could lock my unit, then I was escorted off the property with little explanation other than being there after hours—even though we specifically pay for extended access. We have never lived in the unit or abused the facility. We simply kept a cart near the elevator while moving items to avoid unnecessary trips. The overall atmosphere at this location feels hostile rather than customer-oriented. Instead of helping customers, staff frequently monitor tenants in a way that feels excessive and intimidating. Rather than answering questions or resolving issues, interactions often leave customers feeling judged and unwelcome. The biggest questions remain unanswered: - Why were paying customers repeatedly denied access during business hours? - Why were access codes disabled without notice? - Why were multiple customers affected at the same time? - Why was there no communication, explanation, or apology? - If customers pay for 24-hour access, under what provision of the rental agreement can that access be suspended without prior notice? - Why were we labeled delinquent despite our payment history? I've spoken with other renters who expressed similar frustrations and are planning to move out because of the way this facility is managed. If these issues continue affecting multiple customers, they deserve a thorough review by Public Storage's corporate office and, if appropriate, consumer protection agencies. Customers deserve clear communication, fair treatment, and management that honors the contract they signed. Until these questions are answered, I cannot recommend this location. We want to be fully refunded and every customer who had to deal with the practice and uncomfort unreliability , inaccessible entry, lack of communication or support if this facility and its staff . Shame on you. Desiree, Richard, and soon will be hearing from our Legal representatives and reviews in which we will do what should be done to warn the general public of this unfair unmoral practice taking place by the staff at the Arvada location public storage on 69th and Indiana ... Hanne was incredible, she helped my partner and I find the perfect unit a few months ago. We wanted to ensure the size was perfect and she was very helpful/accommodating...Also, we are in the midst of downsizing and she helped ensure I can get a new unit downstairs without having any hidden fees or charges! Hanne is from Germany ???? ?? And my partner is from Poland ???? Always wonderful to meet and learn from other cultures/walks of life. Thank you Hanne for for excellent service and kind spirit. Looking forward to meeting again when I grab my MTB next time around ?? ... Read more

We moved all of our storage here in December and we were broken into twice in a month. The first time was targeted someone had watched us, put one of our items in and Pride up the door directly where we had placed it. We informed the front desk and we moved things around and not even a week later our unit was broken into a second time this time everything of importance was taken anything worth anything was taken. Everything else was thrown around and broken. There was broken glass shards scattered . Sometimes getting broken to happens at storage units, however, twice in that short of time had me on edge so we moved out. I really would not recommend coming here and I should’ve read the other reviews before we went there and I would’ve noticed that this is not the first time this has happened ... Read more

Very easy to rent a unit and move right in. Property manager Hanne was super sweet and helpful. She remembered which unit I’d moved into weeks ago, and apologized that previous tenant had left a couple of small items in the unit. Management took care of getting rid of them for me, so I didn’t have to do anything extra. Cell service in the building is pretty bad, and I frequently have trouble unlocking the doors and elevators with my phone. I don’t mind just putting in the code, but it can be repetitive when you’re trying to move things in and out. Overall, a great experience and happy there was a storage place so close to my temporary home! ... Read more

Will nearly double your rent after 3 months. With negotiation, they will delay the increase for 3 more months, then it's inevitable and they will double it nomatter what, saying it's a corporate decision and it's out of their hands. At the same time, they will continue to offer the same unit for the lower price to new customers, and sometimes 1/3 the price online. You cannot reach corporate by phone to talk to anyone. If you are an existing customer, all calls will automatically be redirected back to the office that can't/won't help you. If your storage needs are long term, don't bother with this company. They only want new customers in hopes that they are too desperate to leave once the prices double within 6 months. We are getting ready to move out. I have screenshotted this review and the date in case we receive any retaliation for it while we are preparing to leave. ... Read more

Mike has been so kind and such a pleasure to interact with. He has went above and beyond to help me out when my key stopped working for the second time of purchasing a new lock. He has always been so humble and so very kind to me and even more so in my time of great loss and unfortunate ongoings that I am trying to cope with. He is such a welcoming soul and makes me feel at home like I’m visiting family.. The rare family you actually look forward to spending some time in deep soulful communication with. I am humbled to have met this gentleman and am elated to have crossed paths with him. It’s kind of hard to have to be leaving for the betterment of my life. No fault of this facility or the employees, like Mike! But hopefully when all of this is good and well over and/or forgotten, I may return to continue patroning such a fine establishment. ... Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.
