This place is a joke! To start off, we rented a large storage shed over the phone. When we got to the facility we found that the wood floor was collapsing. The lady at the facility was new and embarrassed. She took us to 2 different sheds that had the same issue. She finally found one that had a cement floor so we took it. Second, we were having a garage sale to get rid of a lot of the stuff in the shed and had advertised and planned it all out. I get to the shed and am locked out because of no payment. We were supposed to be on auto pay and didn’t know they screwed it up. I tried to make the payment right then so we could get into our shed but there system is so screwed up it wouldn’t let me. There was no one in the office and none of the so-called managers would answer the phone or return our calls. I was panicking and just followed another vehicle through the gate and got into the shed. The lady that works in the office had an emergency and wasn’t able to get in when she was supposed to and was very apologetic. We were assessed a late fee for the companies screw up so she tried to get it taken off but the cowards in charge refused. Third, ( keep in mind this was the second month of our renting from them), I went back to the shed and was locked out again. This time it was because we couldn’t make a payment because this company is so screwed up, their system wouldn’t let us make the payment over the phone. My wife and I both work and it is very difficult to make it into their office. This place is so bad that we are going to waist a weekend to move to a different facility. We are both older and these types of activities takes a toll on our bodies but I refuse to give this place another dime. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AT ALL COST!!!!! Would have given a zero star if allowed! ... Read more

On the one hand, it's adequate storage unit. Dry and doors always work. On the other hand you have to give a 10 day notice before moving out and that is kept a secret so they can claim your whole month's rent. If it's not a secret, why isn't the need for notice posted anywhere visible? We even checked our lease and still didn't see it (it is in there, moving time is just hectic). Often no one is at the office, auto pay doesn't always work and while they fix the late charges that accrue when their system breaks down, it's a hassle to get through to the team and make that happen. The company we leased with sold to another company that keeps hiking rental rates, maybe under capitalized? I don't know, but it's really expensive storage now... this was actually helpful to get us to sell our stuff and stop spending money on storing things. ... Read more

It has been a very shitty experience with this company. The staff are friendly and seem to want to be helpful but claim they can't. They rented me a 15x10 unit, but it was already rented out, so they switched me to a 10x10 and have decided to continue to bill for the larger unit. When brought to their attention, I was told it would be corrected but it was not! When brought up again they told me they have increased their rates but I was still being overbilled and they would adjust it. Again they did not! So when I called again, I was told this is the new rate, and I just need to accept it. I asked for a number for corporate or someone who makes these decisions and was told they're not allowed to give that information. Instead they will send an email and if they want to speak with me, they will reach out! Avoid using them if you can! ... Read more

I have been very pleased with my experience in renting a unit from Guardian Storage. Raquel was great to work with and the prices are really great. Also, for my current/old storage company, I went through 3 management companies, the last two of which had no local presence. It was difficult to get a hold of anyone. It was very important to me that I get a unit that has a local office. ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.
