Read some helpful reviews of Public Storage, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

Between downsizing our own lives, several unexpected turn of events, and the passing of several family members, in the last several years, storage units and facilities have become integral in our day-to-day lives. And, to be clear, not all of them are the same. Frankly, it's easy to get moved into a place that you can't move out of fast enough. Over several years of what seems like nonstop moving, packing, consolidating, and relocating portions of various properties, we decided to try a Public Storage in our new neighborhood. It was pleasant and void of some of the typical hurdles. When we needed additional space, and something indoors, the first Public Storage we were at didn't have the unit we were looking for, but there was one up the street. We stayed with the company and rented more units in the same area. The greatest feature for us has been that they recently began offering 24 hour access for a modest surcharge. One if the biggest hurdles we had encountered was that by the time of day we could get to our units to get some things done, the other places were closed until 6:00 AM the next day. It was almost impossible to get anything caught up. We were always rushing and not getting much done. It was overwhelming. I like the layout and accessibility above all ... Read more

The one star is this location is clean, as it should be. Not always enough carts tho and people don’t put them back just like they don’t know how to return shopping carts. It’s dumb the hours you can go are only when someone is in office but that’s a public storage franchise thing. Overall - if you want to pay a cheap price to get in the door it’s a great choice. If you want the price to increase by about 10x what you started at, great choice. I paid $60 2 years ago and my rent is now $160 (10x5), they also don’t tell you that you can call once a year to see if you qualify for a 3 month price reduction, for $20 and only lasts 3 months. They will continuously raise your rent price every few months to even monthly by $10-20. If you have homeowners or renters, provide that and get better insurance coverage than what they make you purchase without telling you that is an option to provide to save mulah. Overall, go with literally any other franchise than this. I moved to another company and got a bigger unit for literally 1/4 of this place. ... Read more

I've been using them for a few months now and the place as been terrific. Some bumps early with the ap and access codes, but I chalk that up to my user error. Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.
