I would give drive up storage a 0 if you could see. Don’t waste your time especially your money. Started at $88.00 and it’s $250.00 already and I didn’t have to unit for more than 6 months. If I move out early, I be will not be prorated. It way out of the way. They are very punitive. It’s a big scan and I deeply regret my choice. I’m am a disabled veteran who rented a u-haul. I spent so much on that u-haul and paid my family to help me. Now because they have so called market rate month to month fees, I have to rent another u-haul and hire another crew to move my things. I pray that their business will go to he// in a hand basket bery fast. Whoever owns this business is the worst person in the whole wide world to do this to poor struggling veterans/residents. I’m such a patient person but I really hate this company and the person(s) who own it. I wish them the worst luck and I will pray everyday that they’ll have bad luck for the reff St T of their life for creating a business like this. Don’t do it. ... Read more

I have been a customer for a while at drive up storage. When I come to the storage it amazes me how much energy and how kind Melissa is at the front desk always says hello with a great smile. Also seeing how she treats other customers. She is a asset to your facility. I am so honored on given this review. I will also bring others to your storage on recommending customers and to ask for Melissa. ... Read more

The facility is fine and the staff is helpful and friendly. The fees are a problem however. We’ve been there for a year and a half and the monthly fees have doubled. We started around $165 and now they are $350. They claim it’s due to costs rising. I’m guessing they haven’t risen 100%. Feels like a scam deal. So, after speaking with Melissa, we had a nice conversation. She was very helpful and honest. She was truly concerned about the pricing and is working towards a solution. Honestly, if it weren’t for Melissa, I would most likely be looking for a new facility. ... Read more

When you see your monthly rate, take that and 3x it, because that is where they will jack you up to after less than 1 years time. When I signed for my unit in May 2025 my tiny unit was $47/month. (No special promos or anything) They just emailed me that my rate will become $120/month next month. I made this chart using federal inflation data and my storage unit price hikes to illustrate. ... This facility is deteriorating rapidly due to lack of maintenance. Doors, gates, elevators etc. go broken for extended periods without repair. Common areas do not appear to ever be cleaned. Dirt, trash and debris are evident throughout the facility. Carts are scarce and completely unavailable during moderately busy periods. On top of all of that, rental increases are frequent and steep. It appears that the owners are riding it into the ground, squeezing all value out of the facility on the way down. ... Read more

This place is a joke. Just cancelled. In February for me 5x5 unit it was $20. Then in was $40. Now it’s $85. That’s QUADRUPLED in less than 8 months. They make you think they’re a reasonable price when you sign up and then they keep increasing rent while you’re there. I called to complain and was told I would bear back in two days, never heard back. Called them again today and I’m told I’m “on a long list”. Unreliable. ... Read more

Horrible experience about a week ago I received an email that my rent that has been on autopay for almost a year was late and that either I make payment at the store or else my storage unit will be locked and a fee will be applied to my account. I never received anything either via email or mail explaining about the change and the new owners... I received a second noticed that says pretty much pay up your last month otherwise your unit will be locked, second noticed. I tried to ask a few questions and try to clarify and resolve the issue via email and I received very cold responses on it. After that no more responses from the new owner of this place. I have no idea how things work here after public storage sold it to this people, no app to open garage gates and doors anymore no nothing nobody is willing to inform or tell us anything. I even got the monthly due with the second notice of payment and the rent went up and nobody informed me of anything... And extremely horrible experience overall with this place. ... Read more

Brian P Fockler is the person who finally responded, after many attempts of contacting this POS company. They never notified tenants of the change, auto pay was deleted. Then he said "you can set up auto pay going in person to the store" and "$4.95 convenience fee to pay online", what kind of circus are they running here? Finally he said "we didn't create the situation". How did you not create this situation when you are poorly managing a transition? They are incompetent and I believe it will only be downhill from here for all users. The website is obsolete, does not provide you with a detailed bill. No instructions on how to access the unit after the transition, it was much better with Public Storage. Do not use this facility. ... Read more

Received an invoice 12hrs ago from Nowalk@drive-upstorage for 3 months back rent. No notice that the facility was sold and no longer under Public Storage. PS still has my active account with a zero balance but I have an invoice that states I owe over $700. Very unprofessional. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that Drive-Up Storage - 320 Wilson Avenue has to offer. These amenities include Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
