I love this place, the prices, and more importantly, Lisa. She worked tirelessly to get my rental locked in and has been a pleasure to work with ever since. If you need a place to store your vehicle or just simply storage, come here and talk to Lisa! ... Read more

This is our first year renting an indoor space for our RV over the winter. I found the pricing to be a good value and Lisa, the manager, is very professional and accommodating. It's been exactly what we've been looking for. ... Read more

Fees are steep and when faced with medical issues which resulted in financial difficulties, they would not work with me at all to reduce the late fees or give me any consideration thereof. They ended up getting all of their money and what worked out to an extra 75-100 PER MONTH IN LATE FEES Sick. Absolutely sick how they extort money out of someone who was a great bill paying customer who lost their vision 4 months ago due to medical issue and can't work. Seriously when money became tight they bled me almost 100 extra every month. It's nauseating how they punished me ... Read more

We moved from another storage facility in town, the rates just kept on going up, and then they changes hands recently. We wanted to lock in a year long term, which we prepaid for the year to make things easier. Lisa from Prime Storage was awesome on handling this for us. She mentioned that if there is a price increase they will notify us. She showed us the storage boxes that were available, and we felt comfortable signing a contract with no issues. Lisa thanks for a great job, and service!! ... Read more

I have recently rented a storage unit and have had the pleasure to deal with the following staff members on diffident occasions, Ed, Andrew, and the Lisa show ??. Each one is as pleasant, professional and accommodating as the other. It is not often that you find a place that ALL staff exhibit the same high level of customer service, eagerness to help and ability to remediate any issues while maintaining a friendly and positive attitude! ... Dorothy, the manager, was so helpful! She helped set-up my access code, and was so friendly and greeted me with a smile! Something that is lacking in customer service these days! My unit was clean and ready to go. I'd recommend this place to anyone looking. I've rented from other places where the managers are absolutely miserable. Dorothy gets it! That old saying, you only have 1 chance to make a good impression, and Dorothy hit the ball out of the park! Additionally, the price was perfect for the unit I rented. Thank you Southington Super Storage. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.
