We used "Hideaway" for years to keep our "treasures" in a place. iStorage took over this company. And we are getting the same good service. We just changed the size of our storage unit. And that worked out really well. ... Read more

I wanted out of a storage unit that I had been in for 10 years, that would be Public Storage. The manager double charged me, lied to me then the company raised rates far to often and for too much $. So I went looking for another storage and found one a mile down the road and met the manager (Brandt) who didn’t lie to me, was professional and offered me a fair price which I have taken. I look forward to moving into this space and probably a second one next to it if needed. I hope that istorage treats there customers fairly and I don’t have to move again. Currently I am very glad to have made the change. ... Read more

I’ve been a customer for a few years and was pleased when it was Hide-A-Way. Yearly increases were expected and manageable but were also clearly communicated with plenty of notice. However, as soon as it was bought by iStorage it jumped up $30 more a month without notice and when I inquired I was told it was an insurance fee. 5 months later it jumps up again an additional $25 without any communication or notice and I am told it is supply and demand. Appears they can randomly increase your price without notifying you whenever they want. Website still listed the previous price so apparently that does not matter either. I understand a yearly increase but 2 increases within a 5 month period without notice is ridiculous and a terrible way to treat customers. ... Read more

It was relatively easy to rent the unit. I had no issues with that and the man working was very nice and helpful. But my unit was dirty. There was dirt and dead bugs on the floor. The ceiling and walls have holes in them. Other than that it's quiet and not to busy. And I'm paying a great price for a good size unit. ... Read more

Hide-Away Storage is by far the best. I've used them in Louisiana and Florida. Having contact with a real person is the only way to go! The I Storage system that is taking over a lot of the storage facilities is trash! They are simply taking more jobs away from people for profit. ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.
