Literally the nicest storage guy I've ever met, and very patient. The uhaul is super clean and very new. Even the seats were more comfortable. Customer service was out of this world, almost was sad to go and stop talking to him. ... Read more

The Personal Mini Storage at Fruitland Park provides excellent security for my personal property stored at their facility. The automatic gate system restricts access to their facility for tenants only. They provide a heavy duty lock for my storage unit. I believe my personal property is very secure. I appreciate the paving improvements to the drive areas. I would recommend their storage facility. ... Read more

Unfortunately, our experience with this company was not satisfactory. We rented a truck for one of our sons, and during its use an unexpected incident occurred that was beyond our control and not intentional. The truck was out of service for only three days; however, the $2,300 charge seems completely excessive and disproportionate to the situation. We understand that policies and responsibilities may apply, but we also believe there should be fairness and consideration in cases where there was clearly no negligence or bad intent. We expected a more reasonable, fair, and humane approach under the circumstances. For this reason, we do not recommend this company. ... Read more

Ray was very kind and attentive. He provided excellent customer service and made the whole process easy. Very good attention at Personal Mini Storage. Highly recommended. Review updated I originally left a 5-star review because my first experience with this company seemed excellent. Sadly, I now have to change that review after what happened. During my rental, I experienced a serious and unexpected situation on the road that prevented me from returning the truck on time. There was no accident, no abuse of the vehicle, and no bad intentions—just a difficult real-life situation. Despite this, I was charged $2,300 for only three days. This money was taken directly from my account and has caused significant financial hardship. For people who work hard every day trying to move forward, charges like this can be devastating. What is most disappointing is not the situation itself, but the lack of understanding or willingness to work with a customer who even left a 5-star review because I believed this was a good company. I strongly recommend that future customers fully understand all possible charges and risks before renting. I hope someone from management reviews this situation and considers a fair resolution, because good customer service should not end when a problem begins. I am still open to discussing a reasonable solution. ... Read more

First my mom had a storage room for years when she passed I took it over. We were always happy with the previous owners and were sorry to see them go. But I am very happy with new owners and Matt has been very nice and helpful. I had to move and I have no car so I call each month to make my payment. Thank y’all for everything ?? ... Read more

I visited my storage unit number 2031 today. I appreciate the unit is dry, not excessively heated, and has a light inside. I was not very satisfied with the amount of dirt and leaves blown into my unit, when the roll-down door is actually closed. I am not sure if this debris enters from either the sides or at the bottom of the door. I swept the debris out of my unit. In general, I am very satisfied with my storage unit. ... Read more

Stopped in to look into renting a storage unit and took a look at a couple. I’ve gotta say, with them being the cheapest you definitely get what you pay for. There was an overwhelming smell of mold and by the time I was out of there my throat tingled. One building felt like a sauna, hot and steamy and looked wet. When I checked out the climate controlled unit it smelled so bad. I DO NOT RECOMMEND! ... Read more

Just want to say Mary is the sweetest and kindest person I have met on this horrible journey I have been on. Without lots of details, my mother had a unit here for about 20 years?? She recently passed and I was responsible for this unit, little to my knowledge, all of my deceased fathers military items along with his remains were in this locker. Mary was in contact with me throughout this journey and did everything in her power to make sure I got some of the items back. I have dealt with allot of people throughout this ordeal and they all said if thing and ended up doing another, but not Mary she came through on everything she said she would and when meeting her in person, she was just as sweet and kind as on the phone. Thank you Mary! I can only imagine she will treat all customers with this decency! ... Read more

***DO NOT RECOMMEND *** Incident happened across the street location, same company. This new company that took over failed to have security cameras, on-site people and gates to keep items secured. Due to their negligence my 33 foot rv was stolen. They say my insurance should provide me with what I need. THEY DID NOT SECURE THEIR PROPERTY, SO insurance won't help! 5 years with Finches and NEVER and issue. 2 days after their cameras go down, my RV is stolen and they don't care. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR PROPERTY!!!! ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.
