Just moved in to this location in Hialeah off of Okeechobee Rd. Though the location is very well kept for the most part the phone app hasn't worked to open the gate nor work the elevators, it just keeps saying "out of range". Also, there were no carts available even though there are signs everywhere saying that there are "carts available for your convenience". Also, there seems to be always people waiting to piggy back in behind you through the main gate. I don't think I'll be keeping this storage unit for long. ... Read more

This is by far the worst storage facility in Miami. Every time I’ve been there, it’s absolutely filthy. But my last visit was the final straw—there were clothes, boxes, and piles of trash dumped all over the entrance. It looked like a dumping ground, not a business. I immediately moved my stuff out because there’s no way I’m trusting this place with my belongings. On top of that, there are always sketchy people lurking around. To make matters worse, they are raising prices in September. Avoid this place. ... Read more

I’ve had a great experience at Storage Rentals of America on Sunnybrook Rd! The facility is always clean, secure, and easy to access. What really makes this location stand out is the management—Victoria and Guillermo are super helpful and professional. They made the whole process smooth and were always available to answer my questions. Highly recommend this location if you’re looking for great service and peace of mind! ... Read more

This is by far the worst storage facility I have ever seen. On my very first day there, I had to call the police because a drug user managed to sneak in—first through the coded gate, then through the supposedly secure, access-controlled area where your valuables are stored. They were lurking around customers’ vehicles and even reaching inside while people were unloading their personal belongings. On top of the serious security issues, the place closes earlier on weekends than it does on weekdays, which is extremely inconvenient. I highly recommend looking at Extra Space Storage instead—they offer better hours, nicer facilities, and often much lower in price ... Read more

Urgent Complaint – Lack of Dollies & Unsanitary Conditions! I want to start by acknowledging the excellent customer service provided by Elaine Madan at your 180 W 6th St, Hialeah, FL 33010 location. She has been helpful and professional, which I truly appreciate. However, I am extremely frustrated with the ongoing issue of unavailable dollies. Clients are storing them inside their units, and despite having cameras on-site, nothing is being done to prevent this. As paying customers, we should have access to the dollies, which were previously managed by requiring an ID at the front desk. Now, according to Elaine, there should be seven dollies per building, yet none are available when needed. Today, I had to wait over an hour just to transport my belongings, which is completely unacceptable. There’s only 2 dolly’s at this location!!!!! Additionally, the restroom conditions are appalling. It is consistently filthy, and it appears that people are misusing the sink for bathing. This is not only unsanitary but also unpleasant for customers. I have attempted to escalate this issue to corporate, but no action has been taken. If these problems are not resolved soon, I will be left with no choice but to move my belongings to a cleaner, better-managed facility that provides the necessary equipment for its customers. ... There’s better options out there and cheaper. In less of one year they changed my monthly price for the smaller unit, $30 dollars more of what I started to pay for, every month they add new fees and also they changed their policy, now you can’t not enter the facility after 6pm It was impossible to go for me because I get out of work after 5:30pm , because that new change they did.! ... I have a small unit which is decent size and very clean. A little pricy for 1st payment. How 20 a moth becomes $84 is very misleading I must say but if you have it like that then it's very worth it. 5 stars great place. 2 stars for lying about pricing originally for 1st payment. Pay for Tax, Lock, Insurance. ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.
