Horrible Communication and Customer Service I’ve been a loyal customer of Personal Mini Storage in High Springs for a while, and I never experienced a single issue. Their customer service was top-notch, and they made a point of treating their clients with respect and attention. Unfortunately, since the ownership transfer to iStorage, my experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. I chose Personal Mini Storage originally because they valued their customers and communicated clearly. iStorage, on the other hand, has failed at every step. Their communication is abysmal. I was notified of a lock being placed on my unit with zero explanation or reason. The property manager, Derell, left me a vague voicemail instructing me to come in person to discuss something, but he didn't even explain what the issue was or that a lock was placed on my unit. I found that out on my own when i went to retrieve something. This left me completely in the dark. When I called the customer service line for assistance, I was told that emails had been sent, but that their messages go straight to spam (which they admit) and no other form of communication was attempted. Despite the urgency of my situation, I was told id have to speak with Derell in person meaning id have no option but to take time off work or rearrange my schedule to visit the office in person during limited hours. This was completely unreasonable, especially given that Derell made no effort to leave any clear instructions or note why the lock was placed. This has caused me significant inconvenience, as I was unable to access my belongings when I needed them. To make matters worse, there seems to be no higher authority than Derell to escalate the issue to—no one else to speak to or even attempt to resolve the situation. I would strongly advise anyone considering iStorage to look elsewhere. Their lack of communication and customer service is unacceptable, and their disregard for customers' time and needs is apparent. If iStorage truly wants to improve, they need to prioritize clear communication and find alternative ways to reach customers, especially if they know their emails are being missed. My suggestion: Stop relying solely on electronic communications that go straight to spam, and put more effort into making personal, meaningful contact with your customers when issues arise. Unfortunately, I will be looking for alternative means for my storage needs as I would NOT recommend iStorage to anyone. Sincerely irritated, Shiann ... Read more

Jackie was amazing helping with information and reservation for a unit. Ray was there when I got to the facility and hung in there past closing time through several technical difficulties and glitches to get my information properly entered into the system which protected my nice discount and secure the unit just in time. Excellent customer service! ... Read more

After Tropical storm Debbie, we were without power for 4 days. I try to get my portable air conditioner out of storage but they were closed. I was told by the lady working there that they couldn't open the gate because they didn't have power. I told her that gate motor operators are designed to be bypassed and the gate could be opened manually They are not going to design something thats going to trap you in your yard if it fails. Now, a day after Hurricane Helene has passed, i am being told the same thing. They can't open the gate because of power. I told her again that i have installed these types of systems and they are easily bypassed. To add insult they closed on Wednesday and sent an email only hours before they closed. Every other business around closed early Thursday evening. The wind didnt start picking up until Thursday evening. They are holding the supplies that i need hostage. Don't rent units here. They are either lazy or uninformed. ... Read more

These storage units were very clean, the staff (Jackie) was always very helpful and nice. They send out emails in advance to remind you of your up coming rental payment so you don’t forget about it. You have secured access to your unit at all times and can be reassured that your belongings are safe. If we ever need to store anything again we would definitely use them! ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.
