I had such a great experience today at Public Storage thanks to Olga and Sarah! From the moment I walked in, they were both incredibly welcoming, patient, and attentive. They took the time to explain all my options, answered every single question I had, and made the entire rental process smooth and stress-free. Moving and renting storage can sometimes feel overwhelming, but they truly made it easy and even enjoyable. Their professionalism and kindness really stood out. You can tell they genuinely care about helping customers. Thank you, Olga and Sarah, for going above and beyond, you both are amazing! ?? ... Read more

Overall, my experience with Public Storage has been good — the facility is clean, and the process has usually been smooth. However, the employee I spoke to today at 1:49 PM, 08/04/2025 was incredibly rude and dismissive. She had a condescending attitude, cut me off repeatedly, and acted like she was doing me a favor just by answering basic questions. Her unprofessional behavior really soured my impression of the place. If Public Storage wants to keep customers happy, they should seriously consider retraining staff like her — because no one should have to deal with that kind of attitude. ... Read more

I cannot recommend renting storage at the Public Storage facilities located at 137th and 128th streets, Kendall. After filing a theft report, I was informed by local law enforcement that these locations have been the site of numerous theft incidents. Having rented a unit at this facility for three years, we recently decided to vacate our storage, only to discover that two 50-inch Sony 4 K smart TVs had been stolen from our unit. The management's assertion that such thefts are impossible is unfounded. Further investigation revealed significant security breaches across multiple units; specifically, the wire mesh does not cover the entire ceiling, allowing easy access for intruders using a ladder. Units equipped with overhead doors appear to be less vulnerable, suggesting that thieves are aware of the facility's layout, have facility access and have already targeted units that are easier to access. Additionally, the surveillance is limited to elevator lobbies and loading areas, leaving unit streets and avenues to the storage units, unmonitored. See attached pictures of the Unit ceiling breach. This is the pathway on how the thieves entered and performed their hand-off of our valuables. ... Read more

I had an incredibly frustrating experience at this location last Saturday, and I will never forget how poorly I was treated by Rodrigo and Tesy. I’ve already submitted a formal complaint to their headquarters and am waiting to speak with the regional manager. On Saturday, I went to close out my unit, and Tesy instructed me to leave it unlocked when I was done. After finishing loading up, I returned to the unit with a broom to clean it, and that’s when I noticed someone had left an old mattress inside. I immediately went to the office and informed Tesy about it. She asked me to take a picture and bring it to her. After I showed her the picture, she told me it was now my responsibility to dispose of the mattress. How is that even possible, considering she had explicitly told me to leave the unit unlocked? I requested to speak with her manager, but she said he wasn’t available and couldn’t tell me when he’d be back. As a result, I had to pay $100 to dispose of someone else’s mattress, and Tesy refused to even review the security footage to figure out who had placed it there. Please be cautious when renting a unit here. The other employee, Rodrigo, was also rude and even raised his voice at me. I plan to escalate this issue to the regional manager. These two should not be interacting with customers, as they are unprofessional, disrespectful, and clearly lack basic customer service skills. ... Read more

Cielo was very helpful. She showed me the unit. Waited with me to apply online. Because I'm an international customer, she patiently helped me with the application. She is very friendly and extremely helpful. She went above and beyond. I am very pleased with her service and I will continue to do business with your company because of her. ... Read more

the only good thing is the convenient location. I have been there about 8 times in less than 2 months. Only once they have the hand truck and that was only the 1st time when I rented the storage unit, which they told me they offered it. I went to the office to ask for it, and I was told that all of them were stolen, but they already ordered new ones. Well that was 6 weeks ago. I just came today again and no hand trucks which make it inconvenient to move all the stuff to the unit. I am waiting to the end of the month to take all my stuff out as this is really annoying to come to this place and do 4 trips to the units instead of one trip. They shouldn't offer it in the 1st place. I understand if someone is using it, but when the parking lot is empty and still no hand truck???? I even went around in my floor to see if someone left at least 1. My other 2 friends have units here and they told me they have never seen hand truck neither. They ll also do a review in this storage. I have been renting storages for long time and this is the 1st one with this lack of customer service. Stay away from it. ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.
