The pricing at KO Storage is very competitive. When we arrived, our reserved unit was already taken—a frustrating start, but the staff helped us upgrade to a slightly larger unit, which ultimately worked out well for us. Switching units wasn’t smooth; it meant creating a new account by phone while we were at the facility with all our belongings. In the shuffle, our insurance documentation was lost, and we started getting billed for insurance we didn’t need. At this point, I gave KO Storage three stars due to these administrative headaches. To their credit, customer service worked with us over email, resolved the insurance charges, and credited us a month’s rent for the hassle. I was genuinely impressed by their effort and briefly raised my review to five stars. Mistakes happen, and I appreciated how they handled it. Unfortunately, another billing issue popped up: the one month's credit turned out to be a mistake, and I was later told I still owed rent for that month—so my rating went back to three stars. These repeated administrative slip-ups have been an ongoing source of frustration. There are a few other downsides: there’s no on-site staff, and the website can be tricky to navigate. But if low prices are your top priority, KO Storage delivers—they’re among the cheapest options around, which is why I’m still there. Overall, my experience has been a rollercoaster. KO Storage does try to make things right, but persistent billing and administrative issues mean you may need some extra patience. If price is your main concern, it’s a solid choice—just be prepared for some bumps along the way. ... Read more

So far the experience has been very easy. I did everything online and as soon as I completed the transaction I was able to enter the storage unit with the code you set yourself. The unit was clean and easily accessible. Their rate was the best I could find in town. You paid the prorated amount for the first month plus a 29.99 one time administrative to sign up. The unit I selected had 2 months free after paying the first month prorated amount. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that KO Storage - 216 Government Avenue has to offer. These amenities include Climate-Controlled, Indoor, 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Truck Rentals, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Multi-Level Storage, Online Payment and RV Storage. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The storage units offered by KO Storage - 216 Government Avenue can satisfy all of your storage needs. Different sizes here range from 35 to 200 square feet. You can go for smaller units if you don't have a lot of items to store, while choosing a larger space is recommended in case you need to store a lot of furniture, bigger items or even vehicles.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

Storage units offered by KO Storage - 216 Government Avenue come at a variety of prices, starting from $109 per month for typically smaller units. However, larger spaces can set you back up to $199 a month.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
