This Ocala- On Top of the World Property is run very well. Ebony is looking out for customers while they are attending to their rental units. She came out on her own accord to check on me in the hot weather conditions and brought me water. It was very much appreciated. She checked with me on issue concerning cost of rent and was able to address those issues. Thank you. ... Read more

There is mold all over our stuff in our "climate controlled" unit. For $150 a month, that's pretty upsetting. Update: After moving all of my stuff out and vacating the unit, I STILL received a bill and a late fee. And of course, I can't get ahold of anyone since everything is automated or virtual. ... This place scams you and I had mold on all my stuff in there temperature control unit I rented. In Ocala Florida Then said after years of being with neighbor storage that they cant cover my stuff ?? But you took over neighborhood storage and all of it's clients, collecting my rent every month so far but claim I didn't have there new insurance policy???Buyer beware, this company isn't neighborhood storage and won't treat you or your stuff with simple respects. Oh and if you miss your payment by 20 days , they are already ready to auction your belongings off??? I was with neighborhood storage for 8 years and when these people took over it went from bad to worst!! My review is Go elsewhere if you can!! I'd give him a minus if I could instead of the one star!!! ... Read more

The staff at Neighborhood Storage is top notch. I had the pleasure of working with two individuals trying to rent a storage unit for a couple weeks while traveling through Ocala. I sadly can’t remember the first guys name and that doesn’t take away from how awesome he was but the second guy Rodney was nothing short of amazing. One of the best customer service experiences I’ve ever had. Rodney made sure that everything was taken care of and that I was extremely satisfied. This guy is the model of what employees should strive to to be. If you are ever in need of storage in or around Ocala call Neighborhood Storage and ask for Rodney, you won’t be disappointed. ... Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.

The facility at 1815 NE 19th Avenue offers 24/7 access, allowing you to visit your unit at your convenience.

To open your storage unit door, start by unlocking it, whether it uses a traditional padlock or a Bluetooth-enabled smart lock. Once unlocked, grab the bottom handle and lift or pull up the roll-up door until it’s fully open.

If you’re using the unit for the first time, make sure the lock is properly removed before opening the door to avoid damage.

Security helps protect your belongings while they’re in storage and gives you peace of mind between visits. Many self storage facilities use a combination of features such as video surveillance, gated access, on-site management, and well-lit premises to help deter unauthorized access.

At Public Storage - 1815 NE 19th Avenue, available security amenities may include Security Camera, Gate, designed to help keep your items protected.

Yes, most standard vehicles can be stored in self storage units. A 10x20 unit typically provides enough space for a car, while outdoor or designated parking areas may be available for larger vehicles.

For safety reasons, most self storage facilities restrict certain items. These commonly include:

    • Hazardous, flammable, or toxic materials
    • Perishable food
    • Live plants or animals
    • Cash, firearms, or irreplaceable valuables

Always check with the facility at 1815 NE 19th Avenue for specific restrictions and recommendations.
