We had an outside storage for a little over a year. Almost everything in our storage got eaten by rats. Over 20,000 worth of stuff we had to throw away. There were so many bugs and mice droppings in all our boxes and furniture. There was a lot of water damage. Alot! We closed it the other day. The manager told us she should charge us for a cleaning fee. Mind you. We paid over $300 a month. For over a year. And cleaned it out. What was left was mice dropping and bugs. And so much stuff was thrown away. Her response was “that’s what happens to an outside storage unit.” We complained a few months ago about almost all our things were ruined. We got $150 off our bill for the month. I recommend to not use this place. That’s all. ... Read more

Atlantic Self Storage has a bait and switch practice for new customers. Last month, I signed up online for $169 a month with the first three months 50% off. Lisa called me the next day letting me know that the first month would be 50% off, but the following two months would be at the full rate unless I bought a $40 accessories kit.  The sign up terms never once mentioned any additional fees or conditions, only additional taxes. They will not refund your money. ... Read more

I found out prices continue to go up if other facilities go up. I've asked for cameras inside bldg and I see new painted lines for boats after being told rvs, trucks, etc wouldn't be there. Cameras went up facing down those isles. Then near back bldg the cheap fence has been open for whomever wants in. I've has a break in and was supposedly told a month later with a witness seeing unit locked properly. So then the same dirt/black flakes were still there a month later. I don't feel I should have my rent keep going up to pay for everything but the safe suggestions I made. The staff has changed 5 times and feeling unsafe isn't cool. Then fundraisers of sorts always go to Jacksonville. Not Orange Park.I recently seen quite a few of their facilities in Jax and all need a face lift. Previous raises in cost didn't reflect any changes. Recently 1 of the employees changed again and my biggest concern was that it may have been an employee who went in my storage. A back enclosed bldg should have security, Period. I've been threatened by previous renters who I thought were already following me at night start screaming at me because I made sure gate shut and they belong there. The owners back then said they saw them the next day and apologized as those tenants were moving out. I hardly ever went up there and didn't have constant price increases before. I wish I could leave a better review but my concerns go to the wayside after many years of being being a customer. ... Read more

Excellent storage units. I rented storage from this wonderful company. During my many months of storage I found the staff to be respectful, friendly and cooperative. My storage unit was clean, the facility was well light, and with great security. If I ever need a storage unit, Lisa and her team will be the first and only all I make. ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.
