UPDATE: I'm not sure if this attaches to all Public Storage or just one unit. Service at our chosen outlet in Jacksonville Beach ends up being good, concerned enough to call, and has a little oiling to do for my door to go smoothly up. I trust her integrity and expect it will be before we visit again. The first experience with a different location was absolutely awful. I called the number in the door and they said it's basically self-serve. She starts telling me about a gate. There is no gate here. She tells me the code at the front door. No front door, no front gate. 0 for 2. Very difficult to understand as well So even with the same company, be aware your storage experience can be differet. ... Read more

We had a flat tire and pulled into the Public Storage parking lot to call roadside assistance. Mike and the entire team were incredibly gracious. They brought us water, checked in a couple of times and invited us to wait in the lobby. Great people! Will definitely use this facility if we have storage needs in the future. ... Read more

I had such a great experience with Diana at Public Storage! She was incredibly helpful, kind, and patient throughout the whole process. She made everything so easy to understand and went above and beyond to ensure I was taken care of. It’s rare to come across customer service this genuine! Thank you, Diana! ... Read more

Avoid This Storage Facility – Poor Security & No Accountability If I could give zero stars, I would. A friend of mine had her entire unit emptied of expensive irreplaceable items, and the management has been completely unhelpful. They claim the security cameras conveniently have a “blind spot” right where her unit was, and they refuse to show her any footage at all. Instead of taking responsibility or helping her figure out what happened, they simply said they don’t see how anyone could have broken in (even though it was visibly breached from a side shared wall)- yet all of her belongings are gone. A storage facility should provide actual security and customer support, not excuses. If you value your belongings, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. This place does not care about its customers or their property. ... Read more

DO NOT USE THIS PLACE UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR STUFF TO GET STOLEN. My family stored their belongings here during a renovation for 3 months. During that time someone accessed the empty unit next door to theirs and removed the belongings from the side wall that separated the two units. Their unit was trashed. They took find china, expensive bags, important documents and many other things. The building manager has been unhelpful to say the least. They take no responsibility that their actual WALLS were breached and just said that that area is in a “blind spot” for security cameras. Many of the items taken can’t be replaced. This is an interior unit that requires a code to access. Don’t be fooled by the false sense of security! ... Read more

    I signed a contract in September 2023 for a 5’ x 10’ at $60. Rent increased to $71 in February 2024. Another increase to $92 effective February 2025. I have never experienced constant increases like this at other Public Storages or their competitors. I regret moving my belongings from a competitor to be closer to where I live. 9/23: $60 + $3.60 tax + $15 insurance = $78.60/mth. 2/24: $71 + $3.60 tax + $15 insurance = $89.55/mth 5/24: $71 + $1.78 tax + $15 insurance = $87.78/mth 2/25: $92 + $2.30 tax + $15 insurance = $109.30. Pros: Clean new location. Attentive staff. Cons: Random price increases. ... Read more

I recently rented a 10x10 unit at the new Public Storage facility in Ponte Vedra Beach, and I'm extremely pleased with my experience. The facility is brand new, offering excellent space within a three-story building. The temperature is well-maintained, and the convenience of an elevator adds to the overall ease of access. They currently offer a fantastic deal of $1 for the first month, followed by a reasonable rate of $89 per month. The staff are very kind and provide great service, making this storage option truly worthy. ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.
