All my stuff is ruined. I keep building materials and tools in my unit there is rat feces and rat urine on everything and they had the audacity to give us a rate increase more pictures to come. Picture frames, pictures, chairs nice beach chairs covered in rat poop. ... Read more

8/30 - I moved out of my unit due to everything that I owned, literally EVERYTHING, being destroyed by the rat infestation at this facility. I am out THOUSANDS of dollars because the property owner doesn’t do anything about it other than place glue traps in vacant units. I have reported this issue multiple times and no one cares. DO NOT RENT HERE IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR BELONGINGS. Now all I can do is hope their insurance company will cover all the damages. ————————————————————— These units have rats in them and no management on property to fix the issue. I called the customer service line to let them know there’s a dead rat in my unit and they stated there is no manager for the site to take care of it. I’m so infuriated over this. ... Read more

As a current tenant, they have raised my monthly fee for my 2 units that I rent, that are the exact same size, with different rates. Late fees are outrageous. Now that they've transferred ownership, facility is no longer 24/7 and they are not compensating current tenants at all for this change. They are refusing to accommodate the fact that I can go online, right now, and rent the same exact units I have for a much cheaper price and save about $90 a month total and it does not state for new customers only or for a predetermined time limit either. Customer service could give me $30 off each of my current units for the following month only and/or meet me halfway with the units pricing. I can rent the new units online, for about $40+ cheaper each, and MOVE ALL ITEMS from my current units to the EXACT SAME newly rented units PER MY DECISION. Instead of saving an established current tenant the hassle, they'd rather waste your time and energy. Guess I'll be looking into a new facility all together. I am willing to change my review and opinion if the local caretaker of my facility can be of better assistance. That is all. I do not like leaving bad reviews. Took 5 months to ever almost get a call back and I moved out of a unit in February and just the end of july did it finally come off of my account. Thanks to Rhonda. Things are getting a little better now that she has started coming a few days a week. ... Read more

I've been renting from them a few weeks now and the bathrooms have been out of order since before I started renting from them. As well as everyday I go there I keep seeing bugs just about everywhere and I promise you my things I have stored there were cleaned before I stored them now I'm afraid to bring them back because I don't have bugs in my house. ... Terrible experience with iStorage. Paid for my unit, but no one informed me they are closed on Wednesdays. Showed up, only to be told to come back Thursday. When I returned, they still couldn't get ahold of the property manager to open my unit. Wasted two days of my time and still can't access what I paid for. Completely unacceptable! ... Read more

I’ve had the unit for roughly a month and a half and they already raised my rental price by $40. I looked online and my same unit is going for $30 cheaper. Definitely looking for another company and will be moving our stuff out ASAP ... Read more

Pretty terrible if I’m being honest. The giant sign outside says 24/7 access which is a blatant lie. Finding out after signing, got zero help from customer service at all, and was told they are “waiting for new signs to be put in” before removing that one. Oddly enough, the sign outside already says “iStorage” so I’m not sure why the sign was left up when that one was put in. Nevermind the list of fees that come along with renting a unit. Storage facility’s popping up everywhere, you’d think they would want to be even slightly competitive instead of lying to get tenants ... Read more

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.
