Why charge $22 for a lock but will gladly refund you provided you return it unused and purchase the type of lock REQUIRED by the facility?? Why waste peoples time? I never made it past the agreement. I’ve never been known to be required to do this OR have insurance on my property. Huge red flags ?? to not rent with you. I’m assuming my rental unit will be broken into and that my things will be destroyed. I’d rather rent somewhere with less liabilities. ... Read more

Trakita I had a pleasant experience at this store. Normally they don’t treat me as sweet as this person did they’re like I don’t wanna say like business type but they’re like hard and not understanding. I’m like a minute late and she still took the payment. I really appreciate that and I thank you for hiring people like that not people who like step on a minute one minute could’ve called me. I don’t know what you made he is cause I never paid it but anyway I thank you for hiring a person like her thank you. ... Read more

To whom it may concern. Hello, I am a Long time tenant at your Public Storage Northside Dr, NW property in Atlanta, GA. On Sat, 12-17-25, I visited my unit and discussed my “mold” issues (due to roof leak flooding for years) in my #H-10 unit with Monisha. She was very pleasant and has a positive attitude and very helpful, which I greatly appreciate. If I was owner of a storage facility, I would hire her as a manager in a minute. She’s a “people person” with a great helpful attitude and presents herself well. In my opinion, Attitude is everything! Than you for all of your help, Monisha! Keep up the good work and good luck to you in your experience at Public Storage. THANK YOU VERY MUCH! Best regards, H.L.W ... Read more

Avoid at all costs! Terrible customer service at the facility. Almost impossible to reach corporate customer service. Strike 1 - Reserved a 5x8 drive-up unit online for an upcoming move. The day before the move, I was contacted that they rented out my unit. I could reserve another unit but at a higher cost. I don't think Public Storage understands what a reservation is. So, now I booked the same size unit at a higher cost because of their process. Strike 2 - Showed up the next day to take possession of the unit. The door latch was bent and would not open/close. Drove back to the front. They switched me to another unit that was "the same." Strike 3 - After arriving at the newest unit, I discovered a lock on the door. Clearly it wasn't actually available. I went back to the front. They stated that they had no other units of that size and tried to upsell me to a larger unit at 3x the cost. This is not an acceptable option when they are the ones that made all of the mistakes. Upon declining, they refunded me ONLY the cost of the padlock ($21.77). They would not refund me the rent I had already paid or the admin fee. Absolute scam! ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.

Yes, most standard vehicles can be stored in self storage units. A 10x20 unit typically provides enough space for a car, while outdoor or designated parking areas may be available for larger vehicles.
