Make sure to ask the right questions before committing to using this location or their alternate location on Pipemakers Circle. The 800# desk was quick to offer me cool savings on 1st month, and a deal at $249.00 per month afterwards. To which, I was gonna pay for 12 months up front. 30 minutes later the local merchant called me based on my reservation and thats where the company's dishonesty came to light. Per the discussion with the local manager via phone, rate increases generally will happen every 3 months at a rate of approx $30.00 due to "local market" cost. Which even if you pay months in advance, 12 in my case, that is not waiverable so ultimately I would have been billed for the increased difference multiple times over a 12 month period. I confirmed this "tactic" with both a spouse who was storing company work items here and a co worker, who both experienced this rate increase nonsense over the course of few years. There are plenty of places in the Pooler/Savannah area who do not use this marketing ploy. I rated 2 stars because the lady I spoke with was at least honest and obviously its not her policy, she is just doing what the bean counters tell her to do. ... Read more

Rented a unit at the end of November. They had a 1st month free promo, but billed us 1 week later. We paid the 1st bill thenreceived a notice at the end of December that our unit was locked due to nonpayment. My daughters & I have tried to call the bldg multiple times & have gone up there & have not been able to find anyone to speak to. Phone messages go un-returned. There are plenty of other storage places here that I’m sure are better. ... Read more

Property is somewhat clean, depending on the day. Access to the property is easy and available all day and night. Be aware, there is not a property manager that accessible. The property manager manages another location and “oversees” this property. If you have an issue—good luck! Public Storage chat online doesn’t even have a valid number for the manager. ... Read more

I've been renting since July of 2023. I have always been able to speak and do business with a real person face to face on site. They've changed everything. No one on site. I had to go to the lobby call them to get a person to talk with so they could allow me to transfer. They took my money before I was even able to see the unit and transfer from 1 to the other. The unit I was suppose to transfer to was busted could not lock the unit. So my drive over was for nothing. I had to go back into the lobby area and call someone again. Let them know I could not move to the new unit I paid for and to keep me in my original unit. Lots of paperwork and alot of my time was lost. Ridiculousness I have to say. This is a big thumbs down ?? not a good idea. Below are pics of the broken door lock. ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.
