RENTER BEWARE!!! This location does not pay for adequate rodent and pest control!! I’m active duty and had to put all my things in storage for a rotation. I put all my stuff in their climate controlled facility and when I got back my entire 10x20 unit was infested with RATS!!! By the way, Renters insurance from USAA and such do not cover rodents and insects (now I know!) and Public Storage only offers insurance that might get you up to $1500 for it - not nearly enough for my losses!! PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DO NOT RENT AT THIS LOCATION!! ... Read more

I returned home from out of town and needed a storage unit. I looked at several units before deciding on a storage facility, but I chose the location on Largo Drive. I'm very happy that I did because the young lady was fantastic, she assisted me in choosing the right size unit after I had reserved a larger unit online, later learning that I didn't require that much space. Now she could have let me rent a larger space and wasted unnecessary money, but she had the customers' best interests in mind. She was very professional. I'm sorry, I forgot her name, but I want the company to know you have a great employee. ... Read more

The new property manager - Ms. Dalainey is absolutely wonderful and trying really hard to improve the cleanliness of the property and the increase in fees for long-term customers. Please give her a chance to improve this location and make it better for the local community. ... Read more

Vacated my climate controlled unit and found rat feces all over my belongings. There was also a hole in the ceiling where the rats had come through. I called to tell the property manager and see if there was anything they could do for me since all of my stuff was covered in this. I had been renting a unit for almost two years. She said no, and proceeded to charge a service fee claiming I had left boxes behind (which is false). I was then hung up on by the property manager. When I called back I was told to contact corporate and told to google the number when I asked for it. I was then hung up on a second time. ... Read more

I have rented from Public storage for years for my business and it was clean then after the new management things changed I have new furniture wrapped in plastic and box’s of art and rolls of fabric All covered in mold with roaches and rats live running through my unit when we moved out I spoke to the person there and she said it was my problem I have no idea what will happen but I assume paying for a controlled unit would mean safe and clean not full of live rats roaches and water damage ... Big mistake renting from Public Storage, 12315 Largo Dr 12315 Largo Dr., Savannah GA. No we didn't pay for their insurance but who would think that our items would get wet TWICE from their faulty AC units leaking water into the corridor? Lots of rat droppings as well. Had to throw away a perfectly good king mattress and box springs. UPDATE: every box on the floor was wet. Ruined art, family photos and furniture. Basically we were paying Public Storage $300 a month to ruin our stuff. Climate-controlled obviously doesn’t mean water right. ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.
