I was in need of a storage unit inna very short amount of time. While I had an issue being about to secure the storage unit in the middle of the night, I got an email first thing in the morning on a saturday. I responded via phone call and I must have spoke to their best rep, because she was an absolute delight to speak with. She helped me get the unit within about ten minutes and that included the electronic signatures she sent me via text. ... Read more

Rented a unit online and showed up to find it with broken items inside of it, fence had been ran over, secure code boxes have nothing even in them. It was supposed to have a seal on the door. Door was wide open when we arrived. Lock had been cut out of the package and package still left in the unit. Took measurements and it’s was a 1ft shorter than told. Whole property looked abandoned ... Read more

Very clean. No bugs. Good location. The camera is at the entrance, but that's about it. I wish the owner would put more cameras. I have stored my stuff for the last two years and have had zero issues. Three years later: The ownership has changed from local to corporate. Also, found some water-damaged stuff. Not sure how. However, everything else stayed the same. ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.

To open your storage unit door, start by unlocking it, whether it uses a traditional padlock or a Bluetooth-enabled smart lock. Once unlocked, grab the bottom handle and lift or pull up the roll-up door until it’s fully open.

If you’re using the unit for the first time, make sure the lock is properly removed before opening the door to avoid damage.

Security helps protect your belongings while they’re in storage and gives you peace of mind between visits. Many self storage facilities use a combination of features such as video surveillance, gated access, on-site management, and well-lit premises to help deter unauthorized access.

At Storage Rentals of America - 3963 West Airline Hwy, available security amenities may include Security Camera, Gate, designed to help keep your items protected.

Yes, most standard vehicles can be stored in self storage units. A 10x20 unit typically provides enough space for a car, while outdoor or designated parking areas may be available for larger vehicles.

For safety reasons, most self storage facilities restrict certain items. These commonly include:

    • Hazardous, flammable, or toxic materials
    • Perishable food
    • Live plants or animals
    • Cash, firearms, or irreplaceable valuables

Always check with the facility at 3963 West Airline Hwy for specific restrictions and recommendations.
