Read some helpful reviews of Public Storage, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

After moving in to our space earlier this morning we received a phone call from Public Storage Rep Darlene. She was very welcoming and pleasant to talk too. She took time to tell us about the storage and how to operate getting into the facility. Her spirit of hospitality was sincere and impressive. I really wish all my interactions with representer could be this positive, and exciting. I,m really happy that me and my family choose Public Storage. I feel that I'm not just a customer but I feel like I am a part of a family. Thank you Darlene for your invitation to be a part of Public Storage family! ... Read more

This is a dirty storage company doing shady business. If you sign up for a unit during the month they will prorate you the amount for the month. If you move out early they won't prorate you back any of the money. I transferred service after about a week and a half into month. Not only did they not prorate me a refund, they charged the person I transferred to for the remaining month also instead of at least giving them a credit. Won’t be using them anymore. ... Read more

if I could give no stars i would. I made a reservation for today online. I reserved a unit that was 7.5 x 10. the online special was for $48 a month with a $1 move in. The issue I was having was the special wasn't adding at the end when I went to pay so instead of $29 for the registration $1 for the move in. I was also being charged $48 dollars and then a $19.99 charge for the lock which was ok so ended up being $96.99. Which is it should of been only $49.99 today. Sry for the long story, but I had to explain for ya'll to understand. The reservation team spent over an our trying to figure out why it wasn't working right, but they just couldn't figure it out so they suggested that I call the manager a speak to them. So that's what I did. I called and spoke with manager Kris. I apologize if I spell that wrong. I explained everything to her that had happened yesterday with the reservation and the issues with the payment. She started off by telling me that that unit doesn't come with the $1 move in special. I told her online it does. Then she practically called me a liar. I then told her that the reservation team seen that it does and if i was able to make it in I could show her. She then informed me she couldn't do anything for me regarding my payment. Mind you all speaking in a rude tone. I really wish I would have screen recorded the conversation. I went ahead and asked her to cancel my reservation and she didn't even say anything to me she just hung up on me. You better believe I called in a complaint. I didn't deserve to be treated like that. ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.
