If you are someone young BLK, independent and require privacy, please do not rent from this location. On 12/30/2025 i went into my unit to organize some things. I had my door down halfway open and the workers just so happen to be on the floor that I went on and I was told by them to hey open your unit so I proceeded to open my unit, but I also proceeded to not organize my unit and go downstairs to actually see the lease agreement where it states in the lease agreement that all doors must be opened during the time while you’re in your unit so I went down there and got the lease same exact day. My lease was terminated. Please keep in mind. I do have the Public Storage app where they can send you messages. Anything that’s important. I receive nothing stating that my lease was terminated because the door was open. I did not receive a warning about the door. I then noticed on January 3, 2026 I was receiving text messages from Public Storage stating and harassing me to pay my payment. I didn’t pay the payment until the 15th on the 17th. I went down there and got a few things and then on 19 January I went down there again to grab a couple more things and was told to see the manager so I seen the manager and she had no clue what was going on, so I requested her to get me to the property manager or the district Manager in which he called me acted like he left the phone ring. He hung up on the second ring so I proceeded to call him back three different times voicemail and then he finally called me back after seeing me calling him. I asked him why was my lease being terminated without a formal notice and he told me well. I put a letter on your storage unit and I said well I hadn’t came down to my storage unit until 1/17/26 nd I didn’t think that that notice on my door was a termination of my lease because I didn’t receive an email nor a text message nor anything in the mail mail so I said why was it terminated? He stated it was terminated because you had your door down I said well, sir I I opened my unit when I was told to and I never came back down there and left my unit closed so why don’t I get a warning for that. He said no so I then asked him on a recorded line cause I have it recorded what was the other reason it was terminated, he said because when I basically asked him where it was in the lease? I called the Public Storage 1800 number on 12/30/25 to complain he said that on that call, I had stated that I still was gonna leave my door down. I said saying that I’m gonna do something and actually doing it or two totally different things and I feel like you guys are discriminating me upon my Race and my gender also my first second and third amendment right has been completely VIOLATED I also asked him about my money because January 3,456789 til 1/15/26 I received very harassing bullying threatening text messages about me paying them money on top of a late fee. He told me I will get no money back. I do not need to go back on the property and I have 48 hours to get my property. I go down there tried to get access to the unit now before my lease was supposedly terminated. I used to go down there every other night after 11 o’clockpm to get my things now all of a sudden I’m not able or allowed to access my things even though I paid them in full with a late fee and basically my lease was terminated 2 weeks before I paid! because I had my unit door down one time and also at that same one time I was told to open it I opened it so like I said this has became a thing of race and discrimination like I said if you’re a black professional and you are trying to live and you don’t want people going in your unit stealing . RACIST Please do not this has became something that has it. It’s civil at this point you guys are not allowed to bully me. You guys are not allowed to punish me because I stated that in a jokingly way that OK well whatever I’m still gonna leave it down but I never did that. You can’t punish me your not god any other reason besides something personal. It’s a shame. I’m very disgusted. Ive reached out to my lawyer ... Read more

5 star assistance. Danielle went above and beyond to help get us through our move. Between miscommunication with movers , lost keys , and lots of other situations , Danielle was ready to assist in any way she could and she did. The move wouldn’t have happened without her!!! The facility is clean , accessible , and in a central location in the heart of Indianapolis . Perfect for college students to store their belongings between semesters / summers . Danielle is a breath of fresh air and this facility is lucky to have her. Her kindness, calmness, and overall demeanor was needed and very much appreciated. Thank you for a job well done ! Highly recommend this facility !!! ... Read more

I’m a new client. I’ve been at this unit for about three months. And on the fourth month, they wrongfully overcharged me. I spoke with the manager on Tuesday. It’s been three days and nothing has been changed. No one is never in the office. The manager is in the office for like an hour and then she’s gone for the rest of the day. No one answers the phone. The service sucks and as quick as fast and I need to be monitor and watch because no one is doing their job. They’re literally stealing company money. I’m going back up there today to hopefully solve this issue after it’s been four days of me Not getting an update on my payment now frustrated and I hope that this situation doesn’t stress me Out. Long story short, but this story you need to be downtown it is trash ghetto no professional service at all. I hate it here. ... Read more

I was quoted a price over the phone & was told that this would be my rate throughout the stay. I was charged a prorated price for moving in the middle of the month as well as for the whole next month. When it was time for me to move out on the 1st of the month, I was told that I would have to pay for the whole month. I asked why wouldn't that be prorated since I was moving out on the 1st. Then in the last month when I told them that I was moving out, all of a sudden my rate increased. I was told that starting that month my rate was supposed to increase. I explained that I had a contract which showed that my rate was to stay the same throughout the time my stuff was there. Apparently, this did not matter. They were never at the front desk during open hours & never answered the phone. I always had to receive a returned call. ... Read more

Just had a great experience speaking with the property manager Rachelle. I’m an existing customer at a different facility in a neighboring town that she oversees as well. I had multiple questions about rates and terms, a possible unit transfer, etc. The call was lengthy and involved, and Rachelle was patient, professional, and overall just very helpful. Great customer service and a positive interaction, thank you! ... Read more

After 4 days of chasing down a location that had a actual person you could talk to . Kassy was straight to the point on addressing all me needs. After her interaction, my view on Public Storage is completely different. I was on the verge of moving out of my 4 Storage units. In today's society you still need people contact especially with communication skills. I will definitely go back to Kassy to handle all my needs. ... Read more

I ordered my unit online. I’m very dimensionally challenged. But, was able to go to the front office where I was greeted by “Rochelle” and she was able to quickly get me transferred to a bigger space, With no hassle. Plus the next day the app was tweaking out when trying to access the code to get in. I again was able to receive such great customer service! She provided me options on how to get the app going again, as well as my access code. I Highly recommend it’s a very secure storage space with great service! ... Read more

These amenities include Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The storage units offered by Public Storage - 933 North Illinois Street can satisfy all of your storage needs. Different sizes here range from 75 to 1,200 square feet. You can go for smaller units if you don't have a lot of items to store, while choosing a larger space is recommended in case you need to store a lot of furniture, bigger items or even vehicles.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

Storage units offered by Public Storage - 933 North Illinois Street come at a variety of prices, starting from $81 per month for typically smaller units. However, larger spaces can set you back up to $817 a month.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
